Meet the team

Hello my name is Ayal Soffer! I graduated from the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacology in Košice, Slovakia in 2008. After working in a veterinary clinic I joined the army as a vet in 2010. I have worked for Vets for Pets since Oct 2015 at Luton Gipsy Lane and have recently moved to the Letchworth practice to work on Mondays and Tuesdays. I also travel around the country working as a Locum Vet so get to experience working in a wide range of practices. I have two dogs and a cat at home who I love. At work I have a particular interest in small animals. In my free time I love travelling, cooking and spending time with my family.

I graduated from Cambridge University in 2010. Since then, I have worked in both small animal practice and at a college teaching veterinary nursing students. In 2024 I achieved a Postgraduate Certificate in Veterinary Dermatology. I have an energetic terrier cross named Basil and several rats. On my days off, I enjoy volunteering on wildlife reserves, gardening, learning Japanese, art and playing video games.

Hello, I’m Francesca. I graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Camerino, in Italy, in 2022. I very recently moved to the UK to start my job as a new graduate at Vets for Pets in Letchworth and got to meet all the amazing people from the team. Even though I love all pets, cats are my biggest passion and I am currently studying to get the GP cert in Feline Practice. Since I left my lovely tortoiseshell cat in Italy with my parents, I am looking forward to adopting a pet soon! In my free time I like travelling to new places, cooking, making crochet amigurumis, exercising to Kpop music and reading.

Hello, I’m Alex! I graduated from the RVC in 2024 and started working at Vets4Pets Letchworth in January 2025.
Helping animals get better has always been a true passion for me, one that made me pursue this career after having finished a degree in Mechanical Engineering. I enjoy all aspects of Veterinary Medicine but I have a keen interest in Surgery and Diagnostic Imaging.
Back home in Greece, my parents have a lovely Akita that I always look forward to spending time with every time I visit. I don’t currently have any pets, but in the near future I look forward to adopting a mischievous combination of a puppy and a kitten. In my free time, I enjoy playing tennis, learning Spanish, reading, and collecting rare books.

I started working at Letchworth Vets for Pets in August 2020. In that time, with the help of my colleagues, I have succeeded in passing the Veterinary Care Assistant course. I am looking forward to starting my nursing qualification in January 2022. In my time here I have managed to rescue a stray cat, called Sophie. My two children absolutely adore her. I am very much looking forward to a long and Happy career with Vets4Pets.

My name is Rebekah and I have been a registered veterinary nurse for 8 years.
I began my career as a veterinary care assistant and instantly fell in love with the job. I am very passionate about anaesthesia, post op care and meeting all the furies during nurse consults.
After working in a veterinary hospital for 6 years, I joined the team here at Vets4Pets in 2019 and became part of the family. It is a fantastic team who all love what they do and I am so proud to be part of it.
I have two beautiful cats called Inca & Olive, a very happy and energetic 4 year old son, Leo who thinks he is a cat and a seven month old Daughter called Skye.
In my spare time I love going to the cinema, having meals out and spending time with my family.
I look forward to getting to know all the clients and their fur babies.

I joined the Letchworth Vets for Pets team in November 2019 but only recently took the role as Practice Manager. There is never a dull moment. The team are always so helpful & friendly. I have two children who are in their late teens, a bunny called Houmous and a dog called Milo. I really enjoy my job & love that every day has a new challenge.

Being one of the receptionists, I think I have the best job in the world – meeting all sorts of animals and of course their owners! I have always been an animal type of person. I live at home with my son James, our big fluffy cat Mr Cole and we have recently got a loopy spaniel cross puppy called Fleur. When you are passing by please pop in and say hello, it would be lovely to meet you and your pet!

Hi I'm Lauren and I'm one of the receptionists here. I live at home with my husband and 2 young children. In the past I have had dogs, rabbits, gerbils and a cockateil. We currently have a cat called Betsie who we adopted through the practice.
I've been at Vets for Pets since 2019. I feel so at home with the team. I love the variety of my job, meeting different animals & people and look forward to meeting many more of you.

Hi I'm Helen. I joined the Letchworth Vets for Pets family in July 2022. I live with my daughter, a very hairy Alsatian! & a very lovely kitten who I rescued. In my free time I try to go horse riding and exploring the outdoors with my little one. I am really enjoying my new role, the team are so friendly and the clients have all been lovely.

Hi, I’m Jess. I’ve been working with Vets for pets for around 9 years now. I am currently working as a Veterinary Care Assistant but would like to start my Veterinary Nurse training in the future. Prior to working at Vets4pets I was studying a Level 3 Extended Diploma in animal management. At home I have 4 fur babies. Archie the whippet, Bonnie the Patterdale terrier, Bloo the Bedlington terrier and Vinnie the Hungarian Vizsla. I also have Chickens. In my spare time I like to go to car shows and spend time with my friends and go on long walks in the countryside.

Hi, I'm Missy. I joined Letchworth Vets for Pets in September 2024. I currently live with my boyfriend in Hitchin. I love all animals, but I have a soft spot for Dachshunds. I have 4 horses, called Crystal, Rosie, Teddy & Poppet. I also have a Leopard Gecko called Lola. I have a second job as a fire breather and enjoy all things circus related. I am looking forward to meeting lots of lovely pets & their owners.

I'm Kim. I started working at Vets for Pets in March 2025. I live in Letchworth with my husband & 2 children and my cat Spooky. My Hobbies are horse riding, karate and spending time with my family. Previously worked for the RSPCA and love everything animals.
