As the Joint Venture Partner and Veterinary Surgeon at Vets for Pets Llantrisant, I am passionate about delivering exceptional veterinary care and creating a welcoming, supportive environment for both pets and their owners.
After graduating from veterinary school, I have worked in both first-opinion and emergency practice, developing a strong interest in medicine, surgery and preventative healthcare. I believe that clear communication, compassion and treating every patient as an individual are at the heart of great veterinary care.
Leading VetsforPetsLlantrisant allows me to combine my love of clinical work with building a fantastic team dedicated to providing the highest standards of care. My aim is to ensure every client feels informed, supported and confident that their pets are receiving the best possible treatment.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, keeping active and making the most of the outdoors.

Hi, I'm Melissa. I've been a member of the team since 2015 where I began my adventure as a receptionist before completing my training to become a nurse  in 2020. I absolutely love my job, being able to to nurse pets that are unwell and also helping to educate owners in keeping their pets happy and healthy. I enjoy all aspects of my job and am lucky to have a varied case load. You can guarantee that no days are the same. My passion in practice is running nurse clinics. I have recently taken over the weight loss clinics and have some amazing success stories.

I am currently working towards completing my consult nurse certificate and hope to complete further certificates in the future.

When I'm not nursing, I'm kept busy with my two children, four dogs and two cats. My husband and I compete in agility competitions  with our dogs Lottie, Lacey and Digby. We also have a puppy who will begin his agility training soon.
