Dr Andreea Ionescu
Practice Owner & Senior Veterinary Surgeon
Small Animal Internal Medicine // Veterinary Business Management Diploma
HI, I'm Abbi, I graduated in July 2020 from the University of Surrey. I love being able to support you in managing your pets' health and well being, from cuddles at the first vaccination, all the way through their lives. I have a keen interest in soft tissue surgery. In my spare time you'll find me out and about exploring with my husband and two labradors.
I moved to Wales from Italy 3 years ago and have been working at this practice since June 2022. I graduated from the Budapest University of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. My main interests are Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine. I have two rescue dogs, Roxy and Toya, and I like to spend my free time exploring the beautiful Welsh countryside with them.
Hi, I'm Gabi. I graduated in Poland in 2008 and since then have been working with small animals as a General Practitioner. This includes three years in an animal sanctuary fighting homelessness and promoting responsible ownership. My interests are internal medicine and surgery. As the owner of an elderly Jack Russell Terrier, I am very interested in the management of senior animals and their pain.
In my free time I like to be as active as possible.
Hi, I'm Charlotte. I am a Head Nurse at the practice. I qualified in 2019. I have a keen interest in laboratory work, pathology and pharmacology. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and two cats.
Hi I'm Hannah. I qualified in January 2019 and have just recently become Head Nurse here in Llantrisant. I have achieved certificates in Feline Nursing, Wildlife Nursing and Small Mammal nursing.
Animal care and welfare is my passion. I love to be a voice for the voiceless and always advocate for my patients and my team.
I treat all patients as I would expect my own pet to be treated.
In my spare time you can find me with my beautiful daughter, crazy cockapoo and handsome cat.
Hi, I'm Melissa. I've been a member of the team since 2015 where I began my adventure as a receptionist before completing my training to become a nurse in 2020. I absolutely love my job, being able to to nurse pets that are unwell and also helping to educate owners in keeping their pets happy and healthy. I enjoy all aspects of my job and am lucky to have a varied case load. You can guarantee that no days are the same. My passion in practice is running nurse clinics. I have recently taken over the weight loss clinics and have some amazing success stories.
I am currently working towards completing my consult nurse certificate and hope to complete further certificates in the future.
When I'm not nursing, I'm kept busy with my two children, four dogs and two cats. My husband and I compete in agility competitions with our dogs Lottie, Lacey and Digby. We also have a puppy who will begin his agility training soon.
Hi, I'm Charlotte. I graduated from Hartpury University, Gloucestershire in 2022. I have a particular interest in surgical nursing - from monitoring anaesthesia to suturing surgical wounds.
My patients are always my number one priority and are treated like my own. I am also a clinical coach to support the new generation of nurses. I thoroughly enjoy carrying out socialisation clinics for our nervous patients, and it’s very rewarding to see their progress by building a trusting relationship.
I am kept busy at home with my three rescue cats, Belle, Bertie & Milo 🐱
Hi, I'm Claire. I'm a registered veterinary nurse . I have a degree on Zoology, a keen interest Palaeontology and a Boxer called Otis who is my favourite thing in the world.
I have worked in animal care for several years in different settings such as a recue centre, a zoo and an emergency vets. I would love to pursue further training in exotics and ECC in the future.
Hi, I'm Imogen. I am a registered veterinary nurse. I was previously a veterinary care assistant at the practice and have been here since 2022. I absolutely love my job and the team I work with.
I have a Chihuahua called Olive, who I adore.
Hi, I'm Megan, I have worked at the practice since November 2022. I enjoy meeting and assisting all our lovely clients and their pets. I have a degree in Events Management but fancied a change of career.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my lively Labrador Ebba, and going on family holidays to Sweden.
Hi, I'm Hayley. I joined the practice in May 2023 and I love meeting all our clients and their pets.
I have a beautiful French Bulldog called Lula who is 4 years old. She was rehomed with my family two years ago.
Hi, I’m Becky, and I joined the practice in May 2024. The best part of my role is meeting our clients, caring for their pets, and working alongside such a caring team.
Before joining the practice, I worked in pharmacy for many years before deciding to take on a new challenge.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my two dogs—a Sprocker and a Golden Retriever—who keep me busy.
