We are open for essential care only
In line with government guidelines, we are only offering medically essential appointments, so please contact the practice team before travelling. Our opening hours may also vary, so please monitor our webpage to keep up to date with the latest information.
We are taking steps to help keep you and our colleagues safe:
- If you do need to visit, we ask that only one person per pet comes along, to help reduce the number of people in the waiting area at any one time.
- Social distancing is crucial at this time. When arriving, you may be required to call ahead and wait to be invited in by a member of our team. You will be informed if this is necessary when you call us to make your appointment.
- Once inside the practice, we ask that you please respect a two metre distance from our colleagues and other clients.
- We are only accepting card payments to help minimise contact between you and our colleagues.
- If you can’t visit the practice and are concerned about your pet’s health, please contact us to discuss available options.
We will continue to share regular updates here and on our Facebook page. We thank you for your patience at this time.
Meet the team
Originally from Bristol, Angela qualified with honours from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2014. She initially joined the practice after graduation and has been with us ever since.
Angela is currently studying towards a further certificate qualification in internal medicine however she is also a keen soft tissue surgeon and is currently the clinical director of the practice. Angela also sits on the clinical advisory board for the whole of Vets4Pets.
Outside of work Angela is a keen vegetable gardener, is a bit a globe trotter but also loves spending time exploring Kent with her German Spitz Noah. She has also recently added a Sphynx cat called Bram to her family in Maidstone.
Hector joined the team in August 2019. Hector qualified from the University of Leon and prior to joining our team he had already been working as a vet in the UK for 1 year.
Hector really enjoys consulting but his passion lies with surgery and is keen on developing his skills in this field.
Outside of work you may find Hector walking his georgous Golden Retriever called Brexit in Mote Park.
In his spare time Hector also likes to go swimming, watching YouTube and playing on his PS4.
Hector also loves football, and when he was 14 years old, was near to signing for RSC Anderlecht. His parents didn’t want him to sign as he had to be focused in studies. So instead, he is happy watching football on TV. He is a big supporter of Real Madrid and Sporting de Gijon in Spain and Liverpool in UK.
Shirley is the longest serving member of the practice. She has been with the practice since July 2006 when we had only been open 1 year, she has seen the practice grow from the beginning.

Shirley has 2 grown up children and 4 grandchildren to keep her busy outside work. Her main love is her 2 French bulldogs Henri and Mabelle (her partner comes 3rd in the ranking). She enjoys nothing more than time at home, a well-deserved glass of alcohol and snuggles with her babies.
Ian has been working for Vets4Pets since 2014, and started in Maidstone in 2018, he previously supported various veterinary practices in the group with business and people development and HR support.
What Ian enjoys most about working here in Maidstone, is seeing and supporting the amazing work that the team do every single day, truly always putting pets first. Seeing the team succeed, and us getting positive feedback from our wonderful clients is one way to experience this achievement. Being able to help the practice and team develop ways of adding more benefits to support the welfare of patients is another key passion. He is also a keen advocate of ensuring every member of the team is engaged in professional development to help them truly be the best that they can be.
Animals are definitely a key element of Ian’s world. Outside of work, Ian volunteers at a local RSPCA centre, which he has been doing for over 8 years, and if not there will be spending time with his dog and four cats, and or cycling, walking, reading and watching films.
Sarah is the longest serving member of our client care team, people call her Dunky. She is a client care receptionist and has been with Vets4Pets Maidstone for over six years.
Dunky has a chocolate Labrador called Coco and a long haired German Sheppard called Liberty. She also has 8 cats, so she is definitely the resident crazy cat lady. Her cats are called Nevada, Dakota, Texas George, Florida, Oregon, Kentucky and Salem (can you see the theme?).
Dunky loves to travel to exotic places. She lives her life to the full and strongly believes in spending your money on what you love to do, after all you can’t take it with you.
She wishes she could win big on the lottery as it would be her dream to take in all the stray cats and dogs and look after them for ever.
Lisa is receptionist within our Client Care team and has been with Vets4Pets for around 3 years.
Lisa has 3 cats called Freddie Bear, Honey Bun (who are both adorable) and Socksey Locksy (who is a bit of a beastie). Recently she has had a new addition with a furless granddaughter called Charlotte who is now 4 months old.

Marie has been working at the practice since 2017. Marie loves every single animal that walks through the door. She enjoys everything about her job but the absolute favourite part of her job is making sure all your fur babies get all the kisses and cuddles while they’re in our care.
Marie has a beautiful fur family of her own. 2 dogs called Charlie, Doris and 3 cats called Daisy, Joey and Elvy. Marie adopted Elvy from the practice after he was brought into us as a stray, he only has three legs but is currently living his best life.
