Rachel Maier

Rachel Maier

Rachel qualified from the University of Edinburgh in 1999 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery and has worked in small animal practice in the south-east of London ever since, apart from a year in 2006 spent teaching Veterinary Medicine at a University in central China. Rachel loves being a vet and enjoys being able to make a difference to the well being of animals and the families they belong to.

 Rachel enjoys all aspects of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery and has a wealth of experience gained over the years which, combined with her teaching experience, allows her to support the rest of the team well. Rachel has special interests in ultrasonography, cardiology and exotic animal medicine, and she is very happy to be working with such a capable and caring team here. Outside work, Rachel enjoys spending her free time with her husband, two young children and kitten Lea, swimming and walking.

David Chelopo

David qualified in 2017 from the University of Pretoria in South Africa and since further completed a MSc Veterinary science degree in wildlife anaesthesiology. 

Since graduating, David worked as a state veterinarian dealing with livestock, aquaculture and companion animals before joining us in 2021. As you can probably tell, he has a keen interest in zoology and anaesthesiology! 

Outside of work, David has a love for the arts and can often be seen painting, drawing and performing poetry. If you've ever spotted a doodle on your pets goody bag after surgery, it was probably David!

IMANOL

Imanol Inda Jurado

Veterinary Surgeon

Imanol is originally from the South of Spain and qualified in July 2020 from University UCH CEU in Valencia (the sunny land where paella comes from!) He has previously worked as a mobile veterinary surgeon in several small animal practices and a veterinary hospital around Berkshire.

Imanol enjoys both veterinary medicine and surgery but has a particular interest in internal medicine and diagnostic imaging.

Imanol particularly loves the larger breeds, and his favourite is the cane corso! 

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors (especially when he’s in Spain with his dog Thor!), he loves travelling, keeping active and he’s training to run a marathon!

MIHAI

Mihai Urzica

Veterinary Surgeon

Mihai graduated from the University of Agriculture Sciences and Veterinary Medicine from Cluj-Napoca, Romania in 2014 and since then worked in the National Laboratory section of Virology, and after in mixed animal veterinary practice.
 
He then started working at Vets4Pets in September 2018 and has enjoyed being part of the team every day since! He has an interest in small animal ophthalmology and soft tissue surgery.
 
When he is not at the clinic he enjoys spending time with family and friends, doing outdoor activities and also likes to travel to see different places, reading or watching movies for entertainment.

Thomas Long

Veterinary Surgeon

Tom is originally from Bristol and didn’t venture far for university, qualifying from Bristol in 2021. After this he decided London was the best fit for him and worked for a vet group in South West London before joining us in September 2022.

Tom loves all sides of the veterinary role including surgery and diagnostic imaging, but particularly enjoys internal medicine and consulting.

Outside of work he enjoys running, squash and exploring all the culture London has to offer.

Melody qualified in 2017 after completing an apprenticeship to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse. As well as being a valued member of our nursing team, Melody also recently became our clinical administrator. 

Melody enjoys all aspects of nursing and owns an array of pets including guinea pigs, hamsters, a cat, and even has a budgie!

Hannah qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2020 at Harper Adams university in Shropshire, then went onto work at a mixed practice for 2 years before joining us in December 2022. Being new to London, in her free time Hannah enjoys exploring London's sights.

At home, Hannah has a lurcher, 2 cats, 2 rabbits and 3 chickens! Her favourite part of the job is conducting nurse consults and inpatient care.

Kelly joined us in June 2020 originally as a member of our reception team. She soon moved on to beginning her training to become a Veterinary Nurse in January 2021.

Since working with us, Kelly has adopted a cat called Thom who was handed into us as stray who you can see pictured! Outside of work, Kelly enjoys photography and can often be seen taking her Lurcher, Todd, on adventures around London. 

Rozy

Having previously studied Veterinary Nursing at university, she soon decided to study an apprenticeship with us and is now one of our Student Veterinary Nurses.

Rozy's favourite part of the job is seeing sick animals get better, and of course giving them cuddles! At home, Rozy has a pet cat called Bueno, and in her spare time enjoys picnicking and bike rides around London.  

Sophie

Sophie previously worked within a veterinary hospital for two years, and after taking a brief break from working within a veterinary practice, she realised she missed it so much that she decided this was the career path she would like to take! Sophie then started working for Vets4Pets Old Kent Road in September 2020.
 
Sophie gained a degree in Criminology in 2017, but is currently planning on pursuing a career as a Veterinary Nurse in the future.
 
Sophie has a Doberman called Dora, but would love many more pets as soon as it is possible! Her favourite part about the job is interacting with all of the clients and their pets.
