Meet the team

I graduated from the University of Veterinary Medicine in 2009 and have worked a few years in several Small Animal Practices and Hospitals in Bucharest, Romania and London.
In 2016 I realised I wanted a new challenge - to have my own practice where I can provide animal medicine service in my own way, at high standards.
I completed a Certificate of Specialisation in Small Animal Veterinary Medicine and I am due to sit my exam in October.
I always loved animals and they are an important part of our lives so I strongly believe we should treat them as we treat each other.
I am very fulfilled that I am a vet and am able to have the opportunity to help animals, and I do so with all my dedication and passion for their welfare.
I am looking forward to meeting you and your small furry companions and I promise they will be cared for by myself and my team as we would our own pets.
Yours sincerely,
Andreea Ionescu - MRCVS & OWNER Vets4Pets Pontypridd

Ema graduated in 2017 from the University of Veterinary Medicine Bucharest. During her veterinary studies Ema worked as a vet assistant in a few practices in Bucharest; including in a Veterinary Emergency and Oncology Center, where she continued her career as a qualified Veterinary Surgeon after graduating.
In 2019 Ema decided she wanted to travel and see the world so she relocated herself near Dublin where she worked as the main vet at a pig farm.
One year later, just before the pandemic, Ema moved to the UK and started working with us. She had the misfortune to start here in the most uncertain of times, but she navigated the storm bravely.
She has an interest in medical cases which she studies constantly to become better and better.
In her free time Ema enjoys traveling, reading, watching movies and spending time with her friends and exploring her new home Wales.
