I am from Rochdale and grew up in Milnrow, just a few miles from the practice so I know and love the area. I have worked exclusively in practices caring for family pets since I qualified from The University of Liverpool in 2005. I have a keen interest in all aspects of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery, especially cardiology, ultrasonography, dermatology, endocrinology (caring for patients with Diabetes, hyperthyroidism etc) and feline medicine. I also have an interest in small mammal medicine, especially rabbits and guinea pigs. I have a cat called Edith who came to me as a stray eight years ago. Her likes include getting plenty of attention, piles of clean laundry and cardboard boxes. She dislikes sub-Mediterranean weather conditions and vacuum cleaners! I enjoy spending time with my two daughters and I enjoy walking, cycling, reading, camping, baking and occasionally running (to offset the baking!). Being part of the Vets4Pets family means we can offer value for money without cutting corners but being a small, local team means our clients see a familiar face providing their personal, friendly service. I love being a Vet and I really enjoy getting to know my patients and their families and I look forward to helping your pet stay healthy and happy.

I've had a varied career, being involved in animal welfare for 18 years. Gaining experience and knowledge in kennels, catteries, dog grooming and then finally my goal of veterinary nursing. I qualified in 2005 and have spent my nursing career within the Vet group. I've undertaken further studies in feline behaviour and medicine as this is a huge interest of mine, along with nutrition. I have two cats of my own. The practice client relationship is crucial to me and I want to ensure an excellent service and veterinary experience is achieved for all.

Hi, I'm Ruth. I'm a registered qualified veterinary nurse. I qualified and graduated from Plymouth university (Bicton College) in 2005. I have worked in both small and large animal practices. I love all aspects of nursing but my special interest is in medical nursing and nurse clinics.

In my spare time I love spending time with my husband Danny and my 2 boys. We have 2 guinea pigs at home named by my Thomas the tank engine fan 5 year old 'Henry and Toby'!

In 1993 I moved out to Lanzarote where she owned and ran a boarding kennels and cattery. These kennels were heavily involved with a stray animal rescue charity and, between the two of them, over 1000 dogs and 500 cats were successfully rehomed.

In 2007, I made the decision to move back to the UK, relocating to Middlesex. Here is where I began work as an animal nursing assistant. The following year, the opportunity to begin formal veterinary nurse training presented itself. I jumped at this chance and qualified in 2011 (at the age of 40, who said you can’t teach old dogs new tricks?!).

Whilst working down south, I rescued a Staffie cross named ‘Sausage’ who was brought into the surgery with severe facial damage. As a result of this, she still makes some of the strangest noises you will ever hear from a dog! Sausage comes into work with me most days and if you ever get to meet her, please don’t think she’s growling at you, the noises you here are a result of this previous injury!

In 2012, I returned home to my roots and took up a position with the Vet Group and I am now a proud member of our team here at Rochdale Vets4Pets. I has an avid interest in certain types of canine and feline behaviour, rabbit husbandry and welfare.

In 2016 I was given an excellent opportunity here at Rochdale Vets4Pets to become a veterinary nurse. I have just finished two years of studying at Myerscough College and should hopefully be a Registered Veterinary Nurse by 2019, which is very exciting.

Before I started at Rochdale Vets4Pets I had never owned a pet, however since working here I am now the owner of two lovely rabbits and an adorable dog.

I love animals of all shapes and sizes though and ultimately want to help you and them, so pop in, say hi and we’ll be here to help.
