We are open for essential care only
In line with government guidelines, we are only offering medically essential appointments, so please contact the practice team before travelling. Our opening hours may also vary, so please monitor our webpage to keep up to date with the latest information.
We are taking steps to help keep you and our colleagues safe:
- If you do need to visit, we ask that only one person per pet comes along, to help reduce the number of people in the waiting area at any one time.
- Social distancing is crucial at this time. When arriving, you may be required to call ahead and wait to be invited in by a member of our team. You will be informed if this is necessary when you call us to make your appointment.
- Once inside the practice, we ask that you please respect a two metre distance from our colleagues and other clients.
- We are only accepting card payments to help minimise contact between you and our colleagues.
- If you can’t visit the practice and are concerned about your pet’s health, please contact us to discuss available options.
We will continue to share regular updates here and on our Facebook page. We thank you for your patience at this time.
Meet the team
Hi, I'm Ruth. I'm a registered qualified veterinary nurse. I qualified and graduated from Plymouth university (Bicton College) in 2005. I have worked in both small and large animal practices. I love all aspects of nursing but my special interest is in medical nursing and nurse clinics.
In my spare time I love spending time with my husband Danny and my 2 boys. We have 2 guinea pigs at home named by my Thomas the tank engine fan 5 year old 'Henry and Toby'!
In 1993 I moved out to Lanzarote where she owned and ran a boarding kennels and cattery. These kennels were heavily involved with a stray animal rescue charity and, between the two of them, over 1000 dogs and 500 cats were successfully rehomed.
In 2007, I made the decision to move back to the UK, relocating to Middlesex. Here is where I began work as an animal nursing assistant. The following year, the opportunity to begin formal veterinary nurse training presented itself. I jumped at this chance and qualified in 2011 (at the age of 40, who said you can’t teach old dogs new tricks?!).
Whilst working down south, I rescued a Staffie cross named ‘Sausage’ who was brought into the surgery with severe facial damage. As a result of this, she still makes some of the strangest noises you will ever hear from a dog! Sausage comes into work with me most days and if you ever get to meet her, please don’t think she’s growling at you, the noises you here are a result of this previous injury!
In 2012, I returned home to my roots and took up a position with the Vet Group and I am now a proud member of our team here at Rochdale Vets4Pets. I has an avid interest in certain types of canine and feline behaviour, rabbit husbandry and welfare.
In 2016 I was given an excellent opportunity here at Rochdale Vets4Pets to become a veterinary nurse. I have just finished two years of studying at Myerscough College and should hopefully be a Registered Veterinary Nurse by 2019, which is very exciting.
Before I started at Rochdale Vets4Pets I had never owned a pet, however since working here I am now the owner of two lovely rabbits and an adorable dog.
I love animals of all shapes and sizes though and ultimately want to help you and them, so pop in, say hi and we’ll be here to help.
Hi my name is Mandy. I have always had a passion for animals since a very young age and I’m really happy to be working alongside them. I am the proud owner of three dogs and four cats, some of which are strays that I've rescued and couldn't part with!
I love meeting new people, going to concerts and also enjoy camping and days on the beach with my family.
Hi, my name is Victoria and I am a Receptionist here at Vets4pets Rochdale. I have been working here for 12 years now!
Unfortunately my landlord wont allow me to have any pets in my house. But at my mums house, I have three lovely cats and one dog.
My dream is to have a 'muddle' of guinea pigs as these are my favourite pet.
Hi, my name is Lisa and I am a receptionist here at Vets4pets Rochdale. I have always loved all animals from being a child. I have four dogs, 1 cat and a rabbit of my own. I love meeting new people and their pets everyday.
