Meet the team

Hi I'm Kobus, I graduated from the University of Pretoria, Onderstepoort, South Africa. Upon graduation I was invited to consider joining the faculty pathology department but decided to peruse other decisions at that stage. I took up a post at the medical university of South Africa and eventually moved to Cape Town. I also worked for a period of 5 years as a veterinarian at a very busy after hour’s emergency clinic in Johannesburg while holding a full time position as a small animal clinician in a private practice as well. I joined Vets4Pets as a locum Vet for set contract periods while still dividing time between London and South Africa. I also worked for Goddard Veterinary groups, based in London. It was working in Stockport, that Sharon and I decided to become Joint Venture Partners and base us permanently in Manchester. I also enjoy all aspects of both medical and surgical modalities and along with the strong team at Stockport, we aim to provide care to our clients and patients of the highest standard.

Hi I'm Jack. I am one of the head vets and partners here at Stockport . I started working here in June 2008 where I worked as a receptionist. I graduated in 2016 from Liverpool University. When I'm not at work I enjoy spending time with my children, catching up with uni friends & looking after all of the animals on my farm. I currently have goats, sheep, donkeys, pigs, chickens, ducks, geese, rabbits and dogs.

Hi I’m Claire one of the Vets. I qualified in 2016 from the University of Nottingham and started working at Vets4Pets Stockport soon after! I love working within our great team and looking after all of your pets.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, renovating our house and escaping outside for a good hike (rain or shine!).

Hi I'm Ramona, I joined Vets4Pets in October 2018 where I started my Internship program. I graduated in 2016 from the University of Veterinary Medicine Bucharest, Romania. My passion for pets and the desire to learn and develop myself made the decision to move to England easy. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my boyfriend going for long walks usually outside Manchester and I enjoy watching movies. I also love to have cuddles with my fluffy cat Arya.

Hi i'm Emily, I am one of the Veterinary surgeons here at Stockport. I graduated from Liverpool University in 2015 and joined Vets4Pets Stockport in 2019 when I wanted to move back to the North West to be closer to my family. Outside of work I enjoy going to gigs and music festivals, as well as spending time outdoors with my two dogs, Fizz the Border Collie & Osian the Vizsla.

Hi I’m Lucy, one of the full time vets and I’m Stockport born and bred. I qualified at the Royal Veterinary College (RVC) in London as a post graduate in 2011. I completed a non-clinical BSc Hons degree prior to that at the RVC. After graduation, I worked in a small animal practice in Staffordshire before embarking on a small animal rotating internship at Bristol Vet School. I headed to Australia for a year after that, working and travelling around but sadly never got to treat any koalas! I then did some locuming around Manchester which brought me to this practice in 2018. I have a keen interest in small animal medicine and hope to do a certificate when time permits. When I’m not at work I enjoy spending time with family and friends, weightlifting, and travelling when possible. I like quality time with my little cat at home as well.

Hello!! I'm Louise, one of the vets here at Stockport. I qualified from the Dick Vet in Edinburgh in 2010 (yes I'm old)! When I'm not in sunny Manchester I love going on adventures especially ones that I can combine with being a vet. My life highlight was working with elephants in Thailand for 2 weeks. That's me with PonSuen who was sadly the victim of a land mine. At home I like having kitchen discos with my wee human, eating cakes and drinking cocktails.

Hi I'm Alma, I have worked within the veterinary environment since 2000. I began working at Vets4Pets in Stockport in April 2018. I love it here, its serious, its funny and has a brilliant atmosphere, the partners are so easy to talk to. You will find me on the desk, answering phones and chatting with clients, I also play a big part in helping with all the insurance questions and filling out the forms to make sure everything runs smoothly. When not in work I go home to my Hubby and our 2 cats, a mother daughter combo and my 17 royal python snakes, we did also have our Diddy Darla (Douge de Bordeaux) and mammas little man Nemo (the ginger ninja stray)but devastatingly lost Nemo and Darla back in 2020. I also enjoy reading, buying strange looking shoes and bags to match them, growing old ungracefully and hiding from the grandchildren which I must say I'm really good at now. I'm also trying to find an elusive room in our house that is apparently called the kitchen. After being here for 28 years I'm not sure I'm ever going to find it and leave it to the hubby as he is one of those annoying people who only have to go somewhere once and will always find his way back. Please come and say hello to me when not busy, having a natter with our clients can be such a brilliant experience and cheers us up no end. See you all soon.
