There are parking bays at the back of the practice on the opposite side of the road. This can fit up to 3 cars and you can park there for up to an hour.

In Memory of Keely Walker
We honour the life and legacy of our beloved original practice owner, Keely Walker.
Since qualifying as a veterinary surgeon in 2004, Keely dedicated her career to the care and wellbeing of animals. After opening Swinton in 2009, through hard work, determination, and exceptional leadership, she built a practice where clients felt welcome and could trust that their pets would receive the highest standard of care.
Throughout her life and career, Keely exemplified kindness, professionalism, and compassion.
Although she was primarily a lover of cats, Keely also adored Boston Terriers and owned two herself, Lila and Dolly. She proudly volunteered for Boston Terrier Rescue and supported Cats Protection, along with many other animal charities.
Keely's passion for veterinary medicine, her dedication to her patients, and her genuine care for those around her touched the lives of countless animals, clients, and colleagues. Her influence continues to be felt every day within the practice she worked so hard to create.
While Keely is deeply missed, her legacy lives on in the values she instilled and in the compassionate care we strive to provide. We are proud to continue the work she loved so much and to honour her memory through our commitment to the pets and families of our community.

Meet the team
Hi, I am Merve, I joined the team at Swinton in January 2025. I graduated from the University of Ankara, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. After graduation, I had a chance to do a traineeship in Bologna, Italy. After that, I started my PhD studies in the internal medicine department at the University of Ankara and I am currently in the thesis writing stage.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, discovering new places, camping, hiking, and in my spare time, I enjoy playing saz, painting and spending time with my friends.
I am enjoying all aspects of my job; I love being able to make a difference and have a positive impact on the lives of pets and owners. I am looking forward to meeting your pets and providing the best care they deserve.
Hello, I’m Paige. I graduated as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2020 and have been at Vets for Pets Swinton ever since, I truly cant imagine being anywhere else and love building rapport with our clients and their gorgeous furry (most of the time) friends. I have a real interest in anaesthetics and peri-operative nursing care and love ensuring our patients get only the best TLC during their stay - just as I would want my pet to be treated. All of our team ensure this is at the very top of their priorities, which is why I’m so happy here and can’t see myself anywhere else.
I do also love consults, as I enjoy seeing a range of pet personalities in our consult room, i will always have a real soft spot for the older patients❤️
I'm Jo, one of the registered veterinary nurses here at Swinton. I really love getting to know the clients and their fur babies at our practice. My favourite area to work is nursing consults but I do love all aspects of the job. There's nothing better than nursing a poorly patient back to their happy selves and seeing them reunited with their family!
At home I have two cats and a crazy whippet named Wallace! I grew up on a farm so my passion for working with animals started at a very young age!
Hi, I’m Emily, one of the Registered Veterinary Nurses at the practice. I’ve been part of the team since 2020, spending my first three years as a student veterinary nurse before qualifying and working as an RVN since 2023
I’ve always had a passion for animal care and enjoy helping both our patients and their owners every day.
Outside of work, I live at home with my seven dogs, who certainly keep me busy! In my spare time, I love walking the dogs, travelling, and spending time with my friends on weekends.
Hi I’m Shannon, one of the nurses at Swinton Vets for Pets. I recently qualified and am enjoying being part of the team after also completing my student years here. At work, I enjoy meeting all of our lovely patients and caring for them as one of my own. Outside of work, I am kept extremely busy looking after all of the animals on my family's farm
Hello, I’m James, the practice manager here at Swinton. I joined the practice in 2012 and became manager in 2014, running the business alongside my partner, Keely Walker. Though I'm mostly in the office, I still enjoy meeting clients and providing excellent customer service. I have a Boston terrier called Dolly who loves food and going for walks, and a ginger cat called Morph.
Outside of work, I enjoy watching football; I support Manchester City. I also enjoy running, crown green bowling, golf, and darts. I also love travelling, attending gigs, and going to the cinema.
Hello I'm Lauren and I am a client care advisor and have worked at this practice since 2019. I love getting to know our lovely clients and their furry friends when they come in to visit us and my passion is delivering a great customer experience. I have a degree in Equine Science and also have a keen interest in dogs and their behaviour. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family including my 2 children (who keep me very busy!) and my husband. I also dedicate a lot of time looking after Lulu my Westie who is now 15 years old. Helping her grow old gracefully and managing her senior health needs is something I feel passionate about.
Hi, I'm Amy, the client care manager at Swinton.
I have been a part of the team since 2018 and my main goal is to ensure that every pet and owner receives a warm welcome and the best care. There is nothing I love more than getting to know our clients, their pets and being able to build lasting relationships with our regular visitors.
At home, I have two rescue cats called Crouton & Crumpet, a Newfoundland called Arlo and two children.

I joined the team in November 2023 originally as maternity cover but luckily I've managed to stay!
I have qualifications in childcare and had worked with children for 19 years but I fancied a different challenge and decided to work with animals instead.
I have a 12 year old son who takes up most of my time and a cat called Marshall.
Hi, I’m Ellena. I first started at Swinton Vets for Pets back in 2021 as a Client Care Advisor, but I always knew I wanted a more hands-on role. After leaving briefly, I found my way back to the Practice in January 2026 as a Veterinary Care Assistant.
My favourite part about my job is getting to spend so much time with our patients and keeping them safe and comfortable, alongside the nursing team. I enjoy that every day is different and I love meeting whoever comes through the door next, whether big or small.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active, going to gigs, hanging with my friends, and having lots of cuddles with my Border Collie, Barney.
