Meet the team

Dora Gomes
Senior Veterinary Surgeon
MRCVS GP Cert SAS PG Cert small animal diagnostic imaging
Graduated in Lisbon in 2011 and spent the first two years working with
making, travelling and spending time with her dog Teddy.

Aleksandra studied in Univerisity of Environmental Sciences in Poland and University of Tras-os-Montes and Alto Douro in Portugal. Had her internships in small animal clinics as well as a wildlife rehabilitation center. After graduation in 2022, moved to the UK to join the team in Vets4Pets Thurrock. The veterinary areas she has the most interest are surgery and internal medicine. In her free time she likes horse riding, writing and spending time with her partner, friends and family.

I have been in the Veterinary sector for 5 years and still each day is very different. I began my journey in Thurrock Vets4Pets in February 2021, I love my job and I really enjoy the medical side of the profession, watching patients get better is very rewarding. In the future I would like to extend my qualifications and persue a medical nursing certificate. My favourite animals are Whippets, Italian Greyhouds and I do have a soft spot for small furries.

I have been a qualified veterinary nurse for over 10 years now and still love that each day of work isn’t the same.
I enjoy most aspects of the job but in particular I love kennel nursing and making animals feel comfortable whilst they’re away from home. I also have a soft spot for exotic pets/reptiles, my favourite being chameleons. I have attained many rescue animals over the years but I now have a very lazy British shorthair cat, called Penelope.
I joined Vets4pets as a full time receptionist in April 2019. The animal industry is a big interest of mine and always has been since I was young. It’s truly fascinating seeing so many different animals on a day-to-day basis that each have their own personalities, just like humans. I’m currently doing an Animal Care Level 2 and Animal Behaviour Level 3 online course and aspire to learn and progress into becoming a veterinary nurse. I have a gorgeous cat named Samson and he’s the funniest cat you’ll ever meet! He’s a cheeky monkey, but what’s the point in having a pet if they’re not a little cheeky?

I started working in veterinary in 2008 after volunteering at my local practice, I enjoy all aspects of the job but have a keen interest in Emergency care. I have 4 cats which are mostly rescues and I am currently undertaking an equine massage course. In my spare time I enjoy running and Rock climbing and spending time with the horses.

I am a vet by profession and have decided to pursue my career as a practice manager. I qualified as a vet in the year 2000 and since then worked as a vet for short duration in a small animal clinic and for 5 years in an equine hospital. I've completed my graduate certificate in Veterinary business management and professional key skills in the year 2010 and I'm a certificate holder of European School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies. I am currently working towards Associate CIPD and enjoying each unit of it.
I'm excited to be a part of the team at Vets4Pets Thurrock and looking forward to coming back to work after taking a long break to raise the kids. My favourite pet is a cat and outside work I'm interested in cooking, movies, music and spending time with my husband and kids.

I’ve recently joined the Thurrock practice on reception. I have worked within the veterinary world for the past six years and I have loved meeting all the pets and their owners.
I have always loved animals and three little Bichon Frise dogs were a massive part of my life. After losing these three dogs to old age (one of my boys was almost 18 years old) I vowed never to have another dog.
I spent time pet sitting family and friends dogs and during lockdown of 2020, I fostered an abandoned puppy who was found dumped in a box with his litter mates. I saw him go from skinny and shy to this bounding full of life, healthy and happy puppy... I failed at fostering him and he became officially adopted three months later!!!

My name is Ellie, I’m 18 and i’m one of our lovely Client Care Advisers here at Vets4Pets Thurrock! When i was 5 my mum brought home our first family cat, over the years she has always been my best friend. I now have 3 cat besties and couldn’t imagine my life without them. I have always loved animals since i was little and has it has been my dream to work in a veterinary practice for as long as i can remember. In 2020 i started my animal journey and received a level 3 qualification in Animal Management! My endless love and care for animals has led me to aspire to be a veterinary nurse and cannot wait to fulfil this.

I joined the reception team in January 2023 having not worked in a veterinary environment previously, but knowing that being surrounded by animals is something that makes me happy.
I graduated with a BSc in Environmental Sciences from the University of East Anglia in 2021 and struggled to pursue a career I was passionate about. A year and a half later I found an opportunity to join Vets4Pets and am now part of a really great team.
I love all animals, in particular dogs and small furries, and enjoy walking with my dog Charlie in my spare time. I also enjoy reading, being active and travelling.
Vets4Pets Thurrock is committed to bringing you affordable, high quality care via a modern, well equipped practice, including a lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray and ultrasound. Plus, on site car parking too!
The friendly team can't wait to meet all of their new clients!
