I grew up around Manchester and after I qualified from Edinburgh University in 2009 I moved back to this region to start working. I became a joint venture partner with Vets4Pets in 2015. I have an interest in exotic animals and love to see the more unusual species which come through our doors. I have completed a postgraduate certificate in small animal surgery, which means that we will now be able to offer a larger range of surgical procedures within the practice.

I have several pets at home including 4 cats called Tess, Jerry, Alfie and Roley and 2 rescue chinchillas. I like to travel and try to get away when I get the chance. Closer to home I enjoy walking and going to the gym.

I have been in practice since 2008 and qualified in 2013 as a Registered Veterinary Nurse. I joined the team here at Walkden in 2016 and became a Joint Venture Partner in 2017. Before starting here I didn’t have any pets of my own, just a family cat and two dogs. However this all changed when our Practice Mascot Bambi decided to retire and move in with my partner and I.

Outside of work I enjoy baking; chocolate brownies being my speciality. I enjoy reading, and I’m a big fan of fantasy novels in particular, my favourite being The Lord Of The Rings. In 2016 and 2017 I got to fulfil my dream of visiting the real Middle Earth on two trips to New Zealand. I’m very much a geek and enjoy hosting geeky boardgame nights with friends. I have also taken up Archery and can often be found with a bow in my hand, whether that be in online computer games, or at my archery club practicing my aim.

I joined the team here at Vets4Pets Walkden in October 2020, prior to this I have five years of nursing experience.

Outside of work I enjoy long walks, spending time with friends and yoga.
I have a Staffordshire Bull Terrier called Rika and a rescued lion head rabbit called Lumi who take up a lot of my free time.

I have always loved animals and being around them, ever since I was a little girl I have grown up with dogs, cats and rabbits! My furry family members at the moment include my first own puppy/little ball of fluff, Ellie the Cavapoo, with my fiancé Lucy. And our latest addition, Izzie the Cockapoo! Our extended family also includes Tilly & Milly the kitty cats ... crazy little balls of fur!

Outside of work I like to spend time with my family & friends, going on nice hot sunny holiday’s, music concerts/festivals and trying to convince Lucy to let me have more fur babies!

I’ve always been animal obsessed and have grown up surrounded by all sorts of different pets that I had begged my parents for when I was younger. My current pets are my slightly crazy Border Collie, Star, and my extremely greedy guinea pig, Holly! I definitely have plans for more pets, I’d have a garden full of guinea pigs if I could!

In my spare time, I enjoy going out running with Star as I’m currently training for a half marathon, going to the gym and persuading my boyfriend to let me book our next holiday!

Vets4Pets Walkden is committed to bringing you affordable, high quality care via a modern, well equipped practice, including a lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray and ultrasound. Plus, on site car parking too!

The friendly team can't wait to meet all of their new clients!
