Vaccinations

DOGS:
Annual booster vaccination, including a health check with your veterinary Surgeon. Vaccination includes infectious tracheobronchitis (also known as “kennel cough”) when required.

  • Vaccination is provided for the core diseases of distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, and leptospirosis. Infectious bronchitis protection (also known as "kennel cough") is included when required.
  • Vaccination may not be appropriate for dogs with illness or health concerns. Your veterinary surgeon will discuss with you any concerns regarding the suitability of vaccination for your pet.
  • Administration of vaccines is subject to patient compliance.
  • Plan includes the cost of annual booster vaccination only; additional fees may be incurred to restore vaccine protection if the interval between vaccinations exceeds your vet's recommendations.

CATS:
Annual booster vaccination, each including a health check with your veterinary surgeon.

  • Vaccination is provided for the core diseases of feline herpesvirus, feline calicivirus, feline panleukopenia virus and when required, feline leukaemia virus.
  • Vaccination may not be appropriate for cats with illness or health concerns. Your veterinary surgeon will discuss with you any concerns regarding the suitability of vaccination for your pet.
  • Administration of vaccines is subject to patient compliance.
  • Plan includes the cost of annual booster vaccination only; additional fees may be incurred to restore vaccine protection if the interval between vaccinations exceeds your vet's recommendations.

Parasite protection

DOGS:
Protection against fleas, intestinal worms, angiostrongylus lungworm and where required, ticks.  Protection is provided using veterinary-prescribed parasite treatments.  (Complete Care Plus dog plans)

  • Parasite risks and recommended treatments vary according to patient factors and lifestyle.
  • Your veterinary surgeon will prescribe a suitable treatment protocol to provide year-round protection against fleas, year-round treatment for both intestinal worms and angiostrongylus lungworm, and additional seasonal or year-round protection against ticks if required.


CATS:

  • Further consultations, diagnostic tests or prescribed treatments/medications are charged at normal rates.

Nurse Consultations

Up to six standard nurse consultations, including weight checks and routine nail clips.

  • Includes the cost of a routine consultation fee with a veterinary nurse only.
  • This benefit component does not include emergency or out-of-hours nurse consultations.
  • Charges for additional services and/or medications will apply for non-routine or non-standard procedures (including, but not limited to, a patient requiring additional restraint or sedation to facilitate a nail clip).

Advanced urine screens

2 x urine screens

  • Plan offers 2 advanced urine tests per year.
  • Includes costs of sample processing, testing of standard chemistry (urine dipstick plus measurement of specific gravity), plus microscopic examination of urine sediment and interpretation and reporting of results for a urine sample collected by the owner
  • Additional costs apply if sample collection is performed via catheterisation or cystocentesis. Additional costs will also apply for supply of non-absorbent litter for sample collection at home (Cats only).
  • Depending on results, further testing and/or treatments may be recommended which will be charged at normal costs.

Premium Complete Care 24/7 Vet Careline

You will have access to a 24/7 support line for general care and advice in relation to your pet. You will also have access to:

  • Life stage support- a proactive and supportive approach to life-stage specific health care and advice in relation to your pet;
  • Dental and oral health advice, support and information; and
  • Weight management support and advice (for example Body Condition Score and obesity, exercise and lifestyle management advice and information).

The careline can be used for advice and reassurance as an extension to your local practice team. Where a physical examination by your vet or treatment is necessary the careline team will refer you back to your practice within a reasonable period.

The careline is not suitable for use in emergency situations where your pet is in need of urgent medical care. In these circumstances you should contact your practice (or your practice’s out of hours veterinary services provider) directly.

In order to access this service you may be required to provide certain information to the careline team. This information will include your name, address, email address, phone number, pet details (name, breed, concern) and confirmation of your current health plan. Neither your practice, the careline services provider nor any member of the Pets at Home Group will be responsible for any delay in the supply of services or failure to supply any part of them where such delay/failure is caused by your failure to provide such information within a reasonable time of asking or any error or inaccuracy in the information provided by you.

Neutering discount

DOGS: £30 off the cost of any surgical castration or spay procedure.

  • The above discounts shall be applied to the full price of the castration or spay (where the “full price” is the list price on the day of the appointment). The full price may depend on the species, weight and sex of your pet and is subject to change in the event of any complications and/or operating on non-descended testicle(s).

Complete Care Plus includes:

  • One general health & wellness annual blood screen for £0
  • An additional 1 x general health & wellness annual blood screen for £45, if required.
  • Plan includes one health screen blood test per year for £0.
  • Includes costs of sample processing, laboratory fee, and interpretation and reporting of results.
  • Additional costs may apply for patient restraint or sedation if required for blood sampling procedure
  • Health Screen Blood profiles are not suitable for diagnostic testing of sick patients, and results may take several days to return
  • Depending on results, further testing and/or treatments may be recommended which will be charged at normal rates.

Pet Insurance Offer

  • Subject to separate terms and conditions and any eligibility criteria as set out by the relevant insurance provider. To the extent allowed by law, your practice is excluded from liability in respect of the provision of any pet insurance services.
  • Your practice is not able to provide advice in respect of any particular insurance product and you are responsible for determining the suitability or otherwise of any insurance product for your needs and the needs of your pet.

£10 off second or replacement Seresto flea and tick collar, if required.

Additional Health Screening

DOGS:
2 x Dry Eye tests per year

  • Tear testing of both eyes performed up to twice per year
  • Includes cost of Schirmer Tear Test strips.
  • Depending on results, further testing and/or treatments may be recommended which will be charged at normal rates
  • May not be recommended for patients requiring additional restraint or sedation. Additional charges will apply if additional restraint or sedation is needed.


CATS:
Annual Blood pressure assessment

  • Single blood pressure measurement in any 12-month period.
  • Depending on results, further testing (including further blood pressure measurements) and/or treatments may be recommended and charged at normal rates.
  • May not be recommended for fractious, anxious, or stressed patients, or those requiring additional restraint or sedation. Additional charges will apply if additional restraint or sedation is needed.
