We've got some exciting news!
We are delighted to announce that our vet practice has had an extension. Our practice is now double the size, and we have a new look, as well as some new services and facilities so we can provide even better care for your pets. But don't worry, you'll still receive the same expert care and service from the same dedicated team.
As well as updating our branding, our new state-of-the-art facilities now include:
- A bigger waiting area, with separated waiting areas.
- Additional consult room space, which means more appointment availability.
- A dental x-ray machine, keeping your pets' teeth in tip-top condition!

Meet the team
Joanna qualified as a vet from Glasgow University in 1995 and joined the Cramlington Vets For Pets team in 2020.
She enjoys all aspects of being a vet in general practice, especially the fact there is always something new to learn even after many years in the profession. She is trained in Western Veterinary Acupuncture and uses this along with conventional medication to treat her patients, especially those with chronic pain.
Abbey qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2013, and previous to this was a qualified RVN. She provided us with locum Vet services before joining our team permanently in 2021. Abbey has interests in imaging, ultrasonography and surgery.
Rosie qualified from Liverpool Vet School on 2020, and joined our team in Cramlington in 2023. Rosie has an interest in surgery.
Sally joined our clinical consulting team in 2025. She previously worked in Veterinary Behavioural Medicine and telemedicine, and has additional qualifications and a keen interest in dog behaviour and behavioural medicine.
Emma has been in Veterinary Practice since 2001, qualifying as an RVN in 2007 and joining our team in 2010 as Head Veterinary Nurse. In 2020 she became JVP / Practice Owner following our previous JVPs retirement, and is very proud of her team and practice. Emma has interests in practice management and dog behaviour/training, and has certificates in Mental Health First Aid and Pet Bereavement Counselling.
Vicki has been in Veterinary Practice since 2001, qualifying as an RVN in 2007, and returned to our team at Cramlington in 2017, becoming our Head Veterinary Nurse in 2024. She holds qualifications in Nursing of Exotic Species and dog grooming. Vicki has interests in patient care, pet nutrition and rabbits.
Amy has been in Veterinary Practice since 2001, qualified as an RVN in 2004, and joined our team at Cramlington in 2015. She has interests in surgery, theatre work and radiography, and also enjoys nursing clinics.
Emma has been in Veterinary Practice since 2006, qualified as an RVN in 2010, and joined our team at Cramlington in 2012. She is our Radiation Protection Advisor, and has interests in radiography and diagnostics, and has additional skills in Schedule 3 surgery.
Megan qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2022 and joined our nursing team in 2024. She enjoys consulting and nurse clinics, and has an interest in pet nutrition. Megan is also a Clinical Coach to our nursing students.
Nat joined our nursing team as an Animal Care Assistant in 2020 then did her nursing training with us, qualifying as a Veterinary Nurse in 2024. Nat also has a degree in Coastal Marine Biology, and has an interest in exotic/wildlife nursing. She is currently studying towards her ISFM Certificate in Feline Nursing.
Jade joined us as an Animal Care Assistant in 2020 then did her nursing training with us, qualifying as a Veterinary Nurse in 2024. She has an interest in Emergency & Critical Care.
Simon joined us as a Student Veterinary Nurse in 2022, after working as a Veterinary Care Assistant at another local Vets for Pets practice, and qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2025. Simon has an interest in dentistry, and is enjoying all aspects of nursing and developing his skills further.
Beth joined our nursing team in 2025, after qualifying as an RVN in the same year.
Katie joined our team as a Veterinary Care Assistant in 2024, after working as a receptionist in another local practice. She is enjoying developing her skills, and is looking forward to starting her nursing training soon.
Casey joined our team as a Veterinary Care Assistant in 2025 after previously working for PDSA. She has an interest in dog and cat behaviour, and has helped our practice achieve Dog Friendly Clinic accreditation with Dogs Trust. She is looking forward to starting her nursing training soon.
Jude joined us in 2013 as our Client Services Manager and also leads our client care team. She is also responsible for Health & Safety in the practice, and is a First Aider and Mental Health First Aider, as well as assisting with the day to day running of the practice.
Felicity joined our client care team in 2018 and holds additional responsibilities including debt management. She has achieved Bronze level BVRA Accreditation.
Niomi joined our client care team in 2018, having worked in Veterinary Practice since 2014, and now holds additional responsibilities including the management of Care Plan treatments and being an Advocate for our Dog Friendly Clinic accreditation. She has achieved Bronze level BVRA Accreditation and holds a Level 3 Qualification in Dog Grooming.
Wendy joined our client care team in 2021.
Claire joined our client care team in 2022.
Lynsey joined our client care team in 2023.
Dave joined our non-clinical team in 2024 after a 20+ year career in banking, and carries out a variety of administrative duties including marketing, reminders and debt management.
We are proud to have provided Veterinary services to the local area for many years. Our team is made up of a close knit team of professionals with a wide range of experience and interests to offer. Our team is led by Veterinary Nurse Emma, who was our Head Nurse for 10 years before progressing to JVP in 2020.
Vets for Pets Cramlington is committed to bringing you affordable, high quality care via a modern, well equipped practice, including an in house laboratory, separate wards for dogs, cats and rabbits/guinea pigs, pharmacy, digital and dental x-ray, visiting CT scanner and a wide range of medical and surgical procedures. We have plenty of on site parking being on a retail park, and are located inside Pets at Home.
