Meet the Biggleswade Vet Team

Biggleswade Vets4Pets Dr Philip Lambley

Dr Philip Lambley
BvetMed (Hons) MRCVS

Owner & Veterinary Surgeon

After graduating from The Royal Veterinary College, I moved to Australia to pursue my interest in companion animal reproduction by working in a specialist breeding clinic. I practiced all things reproduction related in dogs and cats whilst working alongside the breeding community of Adelaide. I have an avid interest in companion animal reproduction and enjoy the challenges and rewards it brings to the veterinary team and the clients.

In 2013 I moved back to the UK and after a few months of locuming around Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and London, I settled in Luton to work for Vets4Pets. After a year in the standalone practice I helped open up their in-store practice in addition to working part time in the new Watford practice.

Along with Sarah, I am keen to develop a strong relationship with the Biggleswade community. I thoroughly enjoy working with Vets4Pets and I am excited to start our own practice in a new Pets at Home store.

RVN

Owner &Veterinary Nurse

I am the Head Nurse and Pet Health Counsellor here at Biggleswade. I have always had a keen interest in working with animals since a young age; I have worked within veterinary practices since 2004 even before I left school.

I completed a BSc Honours degree in Veterinary Nursing in 2011 and have since worked at Vets4Pets. In February 2014, I helped start up a new Vets4pets practice in Luton Gipsy Lane and have worked there since, previously working in their standalone practice for many years before this.

I enjoy running nurses clinics, interacting with the clients and getting to know their pets. Outside of work I love spending time with my German Shepherd Sky and lots of different outdoor fitness activities.

Veterinary Surgeon

After graduating from the Royal Veterinary College I spent time volunteering for charities abroad and in the UK before starting my first job with Vets4Pets, whom I have been with ever since.

I am passionate about animal welfare and love to travel so still volunteer regularly abroad, my next trip is to a charity clinic in Ecuador. I have a keen interest in Veterinary Acupuncture and finished my training in May 2017. I have had some great results with a range of cases so far.

In my spare time I enjoy yoga and dancing. I have two rescue bunnies, Angelica and Domino and a gorgeous long haired tabby named Teddy who I re-homed from my previous practice.

Amy

Student Veterinary Nurse

I am a trainee veterinary nurse working here at Biggleswade since the beginning of 2016. I have worked within the veterinary industry since before I left school and have always wanted to work with animals. I have completed a diploma in animal care and an extended diploma in animal management before starting my training in veterinary nursing. I chose this career path as I’ve always wanted to help and care for animals and love being a part of their lives!

Although I have lots of experience in dealing with small animals I have also had a fair share of exotic species growing up and my knowledge continues to grow, as I meet lots of lovely clients and see interesting cases with their little fur babies.

At home I have my little Pomeranian Mitzi, who really is my world! I enjoy taking her for walks and snuggles in the evenings. Mitzi also likes to help out when taking my work home with me and loves laying with guinea pigs and playing with kittens, very cute!

My name is Rebecca, I started at Vets4Pets in October 2016. I’ve always loved animals and from a young age have been surrounded by different types of pets including cats, dogs and chickens. I love caring for animals every day and feel very lucky to be doing my 'dream job' and training as a veterinary nurse. At home I have two beautiful cats and a mischievous dog.

Biggleswade Vets4Pets Rachael Scott

Rachael Scott

Receptionist

Hi, my name’s Rachael, full time receptionist at Vets4Pets Biggleswade. I’ve worked on veterinary reception since 2008, the last few years with Vets4Pets. Being in-store is a new and exciting challenge for me and I love it already. Plus, being upstairs on a mezzanine level means I get to be nosey and see everything happening on the shop floor below!

I enjoy everything about being on reception from cuddling all of the fur babies to getting to know the regulars and being a friendly, familiar face for them. I have a particular passion for cat welfare and voluntarily fostered for a local cat charity for 5 years. I could quite happily chat cat all day long...

At home I have 2 gorgeous British Short Hairs; Luna and Tallulah, 3 Guinea Pigs; Rupert, Paddington and Milford as well as a variety of chickens. One special chicken in particular is my rescue Stevie; she is completely covered in black and white feathers so you can only see her beak!

Biggleswade Vets4Pets Rhianne Elliott

Rhianne Elliott

Receptionist

Hey, my name is Rhianne and I am one of the Receptionists at Vets4Pets Biggleswade. This is the first time that I have worked in the Veterinary Industry however I am no stranger to a Reception desk!

It’s only been a couple of weeks and I already love my role here. No day is ever the same, constantly meeting such lovely customers and their adorable furry friends and surrounded by some amazing colleagues who always keep me smiling.

I do love all animals but have to admit I am a sucker for a doggy. They say “diamonds are a girl’s best friend” but whoever made that up definitely has never had a dog. At home I have a 7 month old Shih-Tzu called Teddy who really is my world. He maybe small but his character is huge. Life is never dull when he’s around.

Anyway come in & say hi & hopefully I will see you soon!

My name is Bryony, I have been working for Vets4Pets since December 2016. This is the first time I have worked within the veterinary industry, however I have spent many years within customer service!

I have always had a passion for helping animals, having many of my own such as snakes, birds, hamsters & dogs. It brings me great joy to meet so many lovely animals everyday! If I am not at work you'll find me wondering for miles with my 4 year old Shih Tzu cross Yorkie called Daisy, my little fur baby.
