Gemma Bargman

Owner & Veterinary Surgeon

I have always loved animals and wanted to be a vet from a young age. I never even considered any other career paths! After graduating from Edinburgh Vet School in 2006, I worked in a busy mixed practice before moving to a smaller practice concentrating on companion animals. During this time, I completed my CertAVP (Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice) which helped me to develop a deeper knowledge of the veterinary industry and practice as a whole. I now have an understanding of how to critically analyse the quality of care we offer our patients and how to move the practice forward through this. I also achieved my CertVBM (Certificate of Veterinary Business Management) at this time.

The best part of being in practice is meeting pets with their families and watching them grow, develop and build a relationship with us. I want everyone to feel as if their pets are treated as we would treat ours - as part of our family.

Music has always been an important part of my life, and I also enjoy cooking, meeting up with friends and reading.

Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated from USAMVB Timisoara in 2005 and have been working with animals ever since. I came to work in the UK in 2010 and started working in a busy small animal practice near Newcastle. I have now relocated to the south of England and I'm enjoying being a part of the friendly Vets4Pets Bishop’s Stortford team.

I’m currently working towards my advanced certificate in surgery. I don’t have any pets at home at the moment, but I’m sure that won’t last for too long!

I have a variety of different nursing experience including General practice, emergency clinics and referral hospitals. I have 2 miniature Dachshunds at home named Minnie & Sweep and enjoy spending time with them. As one of the Vets4Pets nurses I will be there to provide care when you and your pet needs it the most & I look forward to meeting you.

I qualified as a veterinary nurse 25 years ago and have been working as such ever since then.

I keep many pets at my house including rabbits, guinea pigs, budgies, a snake, a tortoise, a Chinese Water Dragon, tropical fish and two huskies.

I enjoy running puppy parties, nurse clinics and looking after our patients when they come in for surgery and treatment.

I'm really glad to be working at Vets4Pets Bishop's Stortford as I know that our patients will get the best care and attention.

Frankston, Sasha, Samson, Ben, Sam, Sheba, Twinkles, Prince and The Turtle are just some of my cherished furry and feathered friends from my childhood. Whether they were strays, fostered or found they were all welcome at our house!

My love for animals inspired me to volunteer for an animal rescue organisation while living in Sydney. Now, I am pleased to be part of the caring team at Vets4Pets, Bishop's Stortford. With experience as a medical receptionist, I understand the value of friendly and informative front desk service and I look forward to meeting you and your furry and feathered friends too.
