Gemma Bargman

Owner & Veterinary Surgeon

I have always loved animals and wanted to be a vet from a young age. I never even considered any other career paths! After graduating from Edinburgh Vet School in 2006, I worked in a busy mixed practice before moving to a smaller practice concentrating on companion animals. During this time, I completed my CertAVP (Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice) which helped me to develop a deeper knowledge of the veterinary industry and practice as a whole. I now have an understanding of how to critically analyse the quality of care we offer our patients and how to move the practice forward through this. I also achieved my CertVBM (Certificate of Veterinary Business Management) at this time.

The best part of being in practice is meeting pets with their families and watching them grow, develop and build a relationship with us. I want everyone to feel as if their pets are treated as we would treat ours - as part of our family.

Music has always been an important part of my life, and I also enjoy cooking, meeting up with friends and reading.

Katrin Knight, Dr Med Vet, MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

I qualified from the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna in 2005. Whilst working full time in a small animal hospital in Austria I continued a post graduate doctoral program at the University for two years and came to the UK in 2010.

After working in a small animal hospital with out of hours service in Hertfordshire for five years I joined the Vets4Pets group in 2015. I have been part of Vets4Pets Bishop's Stortford since April 2018.

I enjoy all aspects of small animal medicine but I particularly like internal medicine and abdominal ultrasound.

In my spare time I enjoy travelling, reading and skiing in Austria.

Stephanie Court

Veterinary Care Assistant

My name is Stephanie and I am the Client Care Advisor in the afternoons & evenings during the week. I have always wanted to work in a veterinary practice and really enjoy meeting all the different people and their pets.

I previously worked in accounts & payroll based roles so working here has been a big change but definitely a good one.

I have always had pets and currently have 2 rats, tropical fish and 2 dogs, Tiko & Charlie. I brought Tiko back with me from Lanzarote, where I lived for 7 years, so he is certainly well travelled!

My name is Joanne and I’m the morning Client Care Advisor here at Bishop’s Stortford. I am a mum of 2 children Kristina and Skye. We own a lovely natured dog called Nala who is Staffordshire cross with a Boxer breed and we also have a rabbit called Puffy.

I come from a Receptionist Administration background and although new to the veterinary practice, my love of animals means this is an ideal job for me!

I’ve had a variety of pets in the past from dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, chickens and have even looked after corn snakes recently.  I look forward to being of assistance to you and pets.
