Vets4Pets Buckingham

Meet the team

Nicholas Garside

Veterinary Surgeon

Nick graduated from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons London in 2015 and went straight into working in small animal practice. He joined the team at here at Buckingham in 2017 and has enjoyed looking after your pets ever since!

He likes all parts of the job, but is particularly interested in small animal medicine. He has a very spoilt house rabbit called Pippin, and in his free time enjoys being an active member of his local church.

Kirstin Irwin RVN

Head Veterinary Nurse

Kirstin is the Head Veterinary Nurse at Vets4Pets in Buckingham. She started working at the practice in October 2014 when the practice first opened, and has become part of the furniture!

Kirstin started her career as a receptionist at the practice, and was offered a place on the Level 3 Veterinary Nursing Diploma scheme shortly after starting. As a result, she qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2017 and is currently studying towards her Certificate in Emergency and Critical Care.

At home Kirstin has a bonkers Chocolate Labrador called Skye. Outside of work she loves spending time with family and friends, playing golf, playing netball and watching rugby.

Joyella Harrison-Scardifield

Client Care Advisor

Joyella joined the Buckingham Practice as a Client Care Advisor in February 2019. After spending 4 years as a Teaching Assistant for children with special educational needs, she decided to act upon my love of animals in a job where she can see and pet them every day! Joyella has a great interest in exotic and unusual animals having rescued 2 bearded dragons and 2 chameleons and nursing them back to health and loving them as pets for years after.

In her spare time she volunteers at a circus school in Milton Keynes where she also trains as an Aerial performer, when she's not crafting or spending time with her fiancé and 4 pet rats, Luci, Bean, Bunty and Oona.

Emily Orrin

Client Care Advisor

Emily joined us at Vets4Pets Buckingham as a Client Care Advisor in January 2019. She enjoys meeting new clients and having cuddles with the clients’ animals. In her spare time, she will most likely be at the stables riding her horse or taking her black Labrador on walks around the countryside.  Emily also owns chickens, a cockerel, rabbits and a Hermann tortoise. The cockerel is called Buddy and rather enjoys sitting on her shoulder whilst she walks round the garden with him.

Client Care Advisor

Sarah Stephens

Practice Coordinator

Sarah joined the reception team at Vets4Pets Buckingham and Bicester in June 2016, moving over to the Milton Keynes surgery for 12 months before returning to Buckingham in November 2018.

Having grown up surrounded by a variety of animals, Sarah couldn’t imagine life without them. Especially Boxer dogs, which are her favourite! Before working for Vets4Pets, she worked in the city for Bloodstock and Livestock insurance underwriter, but would grab every opportunity to get back to escaping the bright lights of the city to ride horses, walk the dogs and be outdoors. She has lived in Buckingham for the last 20 years with her husband and two daughters. When not working Sarah loves spending time walking her dog, exercising the horses, dancing and socialising with family and friends.

Sarah brings with her a consistent positive attitude and looks forward giving you a warm welcome to the practice.
