MVDr. Lucia Fasungova MRCVS

Owner & Veterinary Surgeon

After graduating from University of Veterinary & Pharmaceutical Sciences, Brno, Czech Republic in 2004, I spent some time at the University studying birds of prey before coming to the UK and registering with RCVS in 2006. Initially I spent time gaining experience at 1st opinion practice with focus on dogs, cats and exotics, but in recent years I have dedicated my time as an accident & emergency vet in referral hospitals in Manchester, Derby & Liverpool. Occasionally I have worked for Vets4Pets surgeries and the high standard of veterinary services inspired me to become a partner of the one in Clitheroe. I have lived in Clitheroe past 4 years with my partner and my borzoi-deerhound-cross Sophie who is 5 years old. This year we became proud parents to a beautiful baby boy. We love going camping, enjoying long countryside and beach walks.

Practice Manager

I have grown up with animals having horses, dogs, cats and rabbits. I currently have Lola who is a 7 year old boxer cross that I rescued and a 6 year old rabbit called Chocolate. I have worked in customer service for the last 15 years. Joining the team at Vets4Pets, I can now put my experience in customer service together with my love and passion for animals. I'm looking forward to meeting and having cuddles with all the animals that come into our care.

Jo Smith

Registered Veterinary Nurse

Hi, my name is Joanne, just call me Jo! I'm one of the Registered Veterinary Nurses here in Clitheroe. I've been in practice for 10 years and been qualified for 4 years. I am so excited to be joining Vets4Pets and my new team. I'm passionate about giving your pets the best care throughout the day and strive to give them the best after care too, as if they are my own. As your pets are a part of your family I'd like to be an extended part of theirs! At home I have a 14 year old Jack Russell cross, called Harvey. He was the start of my family. Then came my partner, followed by my 9 year old Siamese cat, called Moss and then came Poppy my little 8 year old daughter! I also part-loan an Irish draft horse who's 20yrs old. In my spare time I love a good walk out with Harvey or snuggled up in my 'comfy's' with a good book and the cat wrapped around my neck! I also love vintage/craft fairs and dabbling in a bit of felt making/crocheting (I must be getting old!!) So that's my little family, come down to the surgery so I can get to know yours.

Receptionist

Hi I'm Lizzie, part of the receptionist team at Vets4Pets Clitheroe and currently studying at university. I love all animals but my favourites are dogs and horses; hard work yet loyal, kind and affectionate! I have horses, a cat, a chicken and 3 dogs. One of those being Dennis who is a wire haired miniature Dachshund. I have been brought up around animals and loved every minute of it! In my spare time I love horse riding and my best victory to date was competing at The Horse of The Year Show on my horse, Princess, in the foxhunter final. The best aspect of working for Vets 4 Pets is meeting all the animals and ensuring they are in the best of health.

I look forward to meeting all of our customers and their animals.

Claire Stephenson

MRCVS, BvetMed

I have lived in the Clitheroe area for around 7 years with my husband on our family dairy farm, I have 2 dogs Honey my parsons Jack Russell who is 10 and Shep my collie cross who is 5. I also have 2 farm cats Alf and Boris and many sheep and cows. In my spare time you’ll find me walking my dogs on the fells. After graduating from the royal veterinary college, university of London in 2010, I returned to my homeland of Lancashire as a large animal vet, whilst I enjoyed working with large animals I missed the opportunities that small animal work gave me so I moved into mixed practice in 2012 treating all animals both great and small. Since 2014 I have moved solely into small animal practice where I have developed a keen interest in geriatric feline medicine and soft tissue surgery.
