Meet the team

Javier Alonso MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon & Practice Partner

I qualified in Spain back in 2002. Since then I have worked in all branches of the Veterinary Surgeon profession: from farm animals and public health, to food industry and jobs at emergency clinics. Within these years I increasingly worked in small animal practices until I decided to focus solely in this area.

After working several years full time at a Vets4Pets practice I felt it was time for me to take the step to having my own practice.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my wife and dogs and to practice sports to keep fit.

Eleanor Hartshorne

Head Nurse

I like walking with my two dogs Meg and Bob, they keep me busy! In my own time I like to read and keep fit, I like to go to the cinema as well.

I have been qualified for nearly two years now, having done my 3 year training. This is my first Head Nurse role and I am excited to start a new career here at Vets4Pets Clowne.

Jodie Little

Veterinary Care Assistant

Hi my name is Jodie, originally from Newcastle. I live with my mum and two dogs who are both Labradors called Sadie and Bella, they are also sisters. I have always loved animals and when I was young I wanted to have my very own doggy hotel.

I enjoy learning about the animal world and have a diploma in Animal Psychology. I soon desire to become a Veterinary Nurse and hopefully will attend college this year to begin my journey.

I am a very big fan of the Marvel and DC films so a trip to the cinema is always ideal with friends. I also have interest in the motoring world (I am always after a new car) and hopefully sometime this year I will be taking my motorcycle lessons. However I mainly enjoy playing with my pups.

I joined Vets4Pets in order to follow my hopes of working with animals, after growing up around dogs and horses. In the future I would like to progress within the company and train to become a Veterinary Nurse.

Currently I live with my rescue Boxer dog Bruce and tropical fish. In my spare time I enjoy taking Bruce on his walks and the continuation of his training. I also try my best at baking and going traveling as often as possible.
