Susan Macfarlane MRCVS

Owner & Veterinary Surgeon

I was born in East Kilbride, in fact I went to school down the road from the practice in Mossneuk. Opening the practice feels almost like a home coming, my grandparents ran a small business in the Westwood for many years, so I'm actually second generation East Kilbride!

I generally spend my free time outside. My beloved border collie, Inda, was a graduation present and still loves going out and exploring the parks and countryside. She's now retired from agility, flyball, and her role as a PAT dog, she spent time in Rosaburn care home in Lindsayfield, opposite the practice. She still comes to the practice and continues her important role as chief recreational manager and toy tester.

The rest of my free time is spent on horseback. I enjoy the mental and physical challenges of long distance endurance riding. Last year I entered the Man V Horse race around Loch Ness. BM and I finished 7th which I thought was pretty good for a first attempt.

Professionally I love a medical case that I can work through, I think it's the same mental challenges as long distance riding, perseverance and patience are critical. I'm working towards a RCVS designated advanced veterinary practice certificate in feline medicine.

Jennifer Meredith MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 2010 and since then have worked in practices surrounding Glasgow and Ayrshire. I enjoy many aspects of veterinary practice; from the satisfaction of successful surgical cases to the complex medical cases. I genuinely love working with animals, and try to treat all pets as if they were my own.

I come from Ayrshire and live in the countryside. I have various pets including 5 cats, 3 dogs, 3 horses, 2 rabbits and 7 (tame!) sheep. I feel very lucky to be surrounded by all of them and couldn't imagine it any other way. Every night I look forward to my cuddle time with them (especially with Archie the cat). Most of my spare time is spent outside with the horses helping out on the family livery yard. During the summer I compete in eventing with my horse Oscar. Music is also another love of mine and I go to as many concerts and festivals as I can - if I wasn't a vet I would have been a musician!

Kirsten Ross RVN

Registered Veterinary Nurse

I'm Kirsten and I qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2008. I have spent the last 12 years in small animal first opinion practices and have a particular interest in anaesthesia.

I have a 12 year old ginger moggy called Murphy who was rescued from a dustbin when he was tiny.

I am really excited to be joining Vets4Pets and look forward to meeting all our new clients!

Sarah McKenzie

Veterinary Care Assistant & Receptionist

Hey I'm Sarah, I am a crazy animal lover from East Kilbride.

I have lived here all my life and grown up having several different pets, however I have to admit dogs are my favourite. I used to have a cocker and springer spaniel named Sophie & Chloe that brought me so much love and happiness, they are both sadly missed!

I am extremely excited and grateful to have the opportunity to be a part of the Vets4Pets East Kilbride South team. I've always wanted to work in a veterinary practice ever since I was very young pretending my teddies were real sick animals that needed help and lots of love.

I am looking forward to getting to know all of our clients and stealing lots of cuddles from your lovely pets.
