Susan Macfarlane MRCVS

Owner & Veterinary Surgeon

I was born in East Kilbride, in fact I went to school down the road from the practice in Mossneuk. Opening the practice feels almost like a home coming, my grandparents ran a small business in the Westwood for many years, so I'm actually second generation East Kilbride!

I generally spend my free time outside. My beloved border collie, Inda, was a graduation present and still loves going out and exploring the parks and countryside. She's now retired from agility, flyball, and her role as a PAT dog, she spent time in Rosaburn care home in Lindsayfield, opposite the practice. She still comes to the practice and continues her important role as chief recreational manager and toy tester.

The rest of my free time is spent on horseback. I enjoy the mental and physical challenges of long distance endurance riding. Last year I entered the Man V Horse race around Loch Ness. BM and I finished 7th which I thought was pretty good for a first attempt.

Professionally I love a medical case that I can work through, I think it's the same mental challenges as long distance riding, perseverance and patience are critical. I'm working towards a RCVS designated advanced veterinary practice certificate in feline medicine.

Kirsten Ross RVN

Registered Veterinary Nurse

I'm Kirsten and I qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2008. I have spent the last 12 years in small animal first opinion practices and have a particular interest in anaesthesia.

I have a 12 year old ginger moggy called Murphy who was rescued from a dustbin when he was tiny.

I am really excited to be joining Vets4Pets and look forward to meeting all our new clients!

Jayne Currie

Client Service Manager

My Career in Veterinary industry has spanned 10 years.

It's a job I am passionate about as I am a people person as well as an animal lover, but you could say I am a crazy cat lady!

I have an 8 year old Maine Coon named Shallimar, who I got from a lovely breeder that we stay in touch with.

I will always strive to do the best I can for each and every client and patient and give the best experience at Vets4Pets.

Vets4Pets are a fantastic company to work with and are equally good to their employees as well as their clients, and I am grateful to be given the opportunity to be part of a team where we treat your pets as we would our own.

Rhiannon Devenney

Hi I'm Rhiannon, I'm from East Kilbride, I have lived in East Kilbride since I was born. This is my first ever job working as a receptionist and love working with animals, love meeting all the furry babies and clients that come in through the door.

I didn't have many pets when growing up but I have had a Guinea Pig called Gizmo who I got when I was 5 years old. When I was about 6 years old I rescued a rabbit and his name was Buttons and now they are both sadly missed.

After that I always begged my mum to get a dog as I have always wanted one. Two years ago, my mum finally decided to surprise me with a red and white Border Collie and her name is Koko. She is a crazy pup, who loves her walks, loved to play with her toys and loves her kisses and cuddles

Koko means the world to me.

I can't wait to progress my career further and see what the future holds for me.
