Jatinder Dhami MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

I grew up locally in Leicester. Having always loved animals, I wanted to be a Vet from a young age, inspired by Sir David Attenborough who had attended my College.

I qualified from Bristol Veterinary School in 1994. I have extensive experience in all aspects of general practice with a strong emphasis on soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. I take great pride in the high level of service and clinical excellence we offer here at Market Harborough Vets4Pets.

I am married and have two children. In my spare time I read and run, and I am known to do the odd half marathon!

Veterinary Surgeon

I have been working in the veterinary world since I was 15, starting out as a kennel assistant. After graduating from the University of Nottingham with Honours in 2014, I moved to Market Harborough where I worked as a small animal vet for two and half years before joining Vets4Pets.

In 2016 I completed a foundation course in Veterinary Acupuncture so I can offer this alternative therapy alongside conventional medicine. I have a special love for small furries and a developing interest in cardiology.

At home I have four spoiled house guinea pigs and the family chocolate Labrador. Outside of work I enjoy going to the gym, hiking and cooking.

Whenever I have spare time I play rugby for my local club, Kettering Rugby Football Club.

I have a Westie called Millie who I rescued as a puppy, a cat called Oscar who was found on the side of a busy road as a very small kitten by the RSPCA and 3 fish tanks and a horse called Ted.

I am currently working towards a certificate in feline medicine and behaviour because this is the area I am most passionate about. I am slave to three cats who have perfected the art of ruling the house I am also mother to two adult children.

Amelia Gerard

Receptionist

I grew up in New Zealand, but have lived around Market Harborough for 17 years now. I studied Law after leaving school and spent four years as Legal Assistant. I had always wanted to work with animals since being a kid, so as a receptionist at Vets4Pets I am able to combine my administrative knowledge and experience with my love for animals.

I have had dogs my whole life, and currently have two Cocker Spaniels who are mother and son. I have also been a keen horse rider since I was eight!

Chris the Worm

Practice Mascot

Hi, I’m Chris the Worm. I normally reside inside Cats and Dogs, but I am known to pop out once in a while, sometimes even in Market Harborough!

Something I dislike is the Flea & Worming treatment that the Vets prescribe to the Cats and Dogs, it forces me to be evicted from my home and I keep having to find somewhere else to live. Summer is my favourite time of year because this is when I hop on the fleas for my annual cruise... I only travel 1st Class!
