Meet the team

Terry Glen

Owner & Veterinary Surgeon

My name is Terry and I am a vet at Vets4Pets in St Austell, Cornwall.

I am very proud of our incredible clinic; we have all the latest equipment including a digital xray machine, ultrasound and so much more!

I graduated from Onderstepoort, University of Pretoria in South Africa in 2000 and one of my first jobs as a vet (15 years ago!) was here in St Austell. I loved the area so much that it has long been a dream of mine to return.

I love how challenging being a vet can be with something different to deal with every day, helping pets and their owners as best I can.

Vic Haymes RVN

I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 1997 and moved from Cornwall to London to gain as much varied experience as possible. I spent time working in many different environments, including small sole charge practices, large charity hospitals and second opinion veterinary referral centres.

In 2003 I returned home to Cornwall and took a position of Head Nurse in a large busy veterinary hospital where my passion for managing a happy productive team was ignited.

I joined Vets4Pets as Manager in September 2018 where I am working towards obtaining the Royal College Of Veterinary Surgeons General Practice higher level of practice standards. I have a slightly crazy cat named Indie.

I joined Vets4Pets in September 2016. I graduated in Spain in 2010 and have been working in the UK since 2012. I have volunteered in various rescue hospitals and rehoming centres, worked in Kent, Bristol and Suffolk.

At home, I have a playful, young, domestic short hair cat called Tilly. I'm also passionate about behaviour and love travelling.  In my spare time I enjoy reading, cycling and swimming.

Veterinary Surgeon

I completed my veterinary degree at the UTAD (Portugal) in December 2014 with a master thesis at NCSU (North Carolina, USA). Soon after, I started working at INEMVET, a Veterinary Hospital in Olhão (Algarve, Portugal).

I moved to the UK in February 2017 and on the 1st of March I joined the Vets4Pets team in St. Austell. I’m currently studying towards a post graduate certificate in Small Animal Internal Medicine.

Beyond my daily veterinary activities, I enjoy doing all kinds of sporting activities, exploring the outdoors, reading and going to the cinema. At my parents’ house in Portugal, I have two dogs: one Rafeiro Alentejano called Cortês, who loves to dig holes and a German Shepherd called Sissi, who loves to eat.

I joined the practice in October 2017 after making a big move down from London. I completed my training and became a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) in 2011.

Since then, I have gone on to complete the ISFM feline friendly diploma and have encouraged all staff to embrace the cat friendly handling techniques.

I joined the practice in May 2018, I have developed a passion for animals from a young age and persuaded a career in the Equine Industry for many years. I have wanted a new challenge and I'm excited to start my new venture at Vets 4 Pets St Austell. I look forward to meeting clients and their four legged friends. I'll ensure to offer the best possible care.

In my spare time I enjoy outdoor adventures with my young family together with our little dog 'Frankie' the Jack Russell.

Having moved down from London in 2017 and leaving a job I had enjoyed for 14 years, I was lucky enough to be offered a position here at Vets 4 Pets.

I am loving my time here as I do not currently have a pet at home, so I can enjoy all the lovely pets that come in each day. I love reading, knitting and look forward to lots of walks when my next furry family member finds me.

I joined the practice in May 2018. I have grown up in a dog loving family and always had a spaniel by my side growing up. I now have 2 Cocker Spaniels of my own - "Honey" and "Mr.Boots". I started my career with animals at a boarding kennel, and later trained as a dog groomer and run a successful business for 4 years. I am now looking forward to furthering my working life in the veterinary world.

When I am not at work I am probably on an adventure on a beach somewhere in Cornwall with my family and dogs, or watching rugby!
