Deborah Anwyl BVM&S MRCVS

Owner & Veterinary Surgeon

I grew up around Manchester and after I qualified from Edinburgh University in 2009 I moved back to this region to start working. I became a joint venture partner with Vets 4 Pets in 2015. I have an interest in exotic animals and love to see the more unusual species which come through our doors.

I have several pets at home including 4 cats called Tess, Jerry, Alfie and Roley and 2 rescue chinchillas. I like to travel and try to get away when I get the chance. Closer to home I enjoy walking and going to the gym.

Owner & Registered Veterinary Nurse

I am a Registered Veterinary Nurse. I qualified in 2013 and have been in practice since 2008. Although I don’t have any pets of my own at the moment, I have a number of family pets including two horses, one cat and two mental springer puppies!

Outside of work I love to bake; chocolate brownies being my speciality. I am also a huge fan of fantasy novels and enjoy reading in my spare time, The Lord Of The Rings being my favourite. Recently I got to fulfill my dream of visiting the real Middle Earth on a recent trip to New Zealand. I am definitely a bit of (a lot of) a geek and often host geeky boardgame nights with friends.

Veterinary Surgeon

Hello! I graduated in 2010 from the University of Pretoria in South Africa and I've been working in private practice in the UK since 2011.

I've been owned by a black cat called Salem ever since. Although I was born in the UK I'm actually West African and my love for animals originates from there. I also love dancing, singing, watching Japanese animations and reading.

I am a registered veterinary nurse and have recently joined the Vets4Pets Walkden team. Following 8+ years of nursing, I have experience with many species of animals including dogs, cats and exotics.

I have two dogs of my own named Holly and Scamp. Holly being the Labrador and scamp being a Crossbreed. I enjoy travelling and socialise with friends in my spare time.

Walkden Vets4Pets Katie

Katie Ellison

Client Care Manager

I have always loved animals and being around them, ever since I was a little girl I have grown up with dogs, cats and rabbits! My furry family members at the moment include my first own puppy/little ball of fluff, Ellie the Cavapoo, with my fiancé Lucy. And our latest addition, Izzie the Cockapoo! Our extended family also includes Tilly & Milly the kitty cats ... crazy little balls of fur!

Outside of work I like to spend time with my family & friends, going on nice hot sunny holiday’s, music concerts/festivals and trying to convince Lucy to let me have more fur babies!

Receptionist

I've always loved animals, and nature in general. As a child i had hamsters, gerbils, rabbits and a cat named Percy Throwes. Today i have four dogs, who take up the majority if my time. When not feeding, walking, grooming or cuddling my dogs, I'll usually be found in a book, pottering around my garden, or slaying orc's in an online world.

Receptionist

I’ve always been animal obsessed and have grown up surrounded by all sorts of different pets that I had begged my parents for when I was younger. My current pets are my slightly crazy Border Collie, Star, and my extremely greedy guinea pig, Holly! I definitely have plans for more pets, I’d have a garden full of guinea pigs if I could!

In my spare time, I enjoy going out running with Star as I’m currently training for a half marathon, going to the gym and persuading my boyfriend to let me book our next holiday!

Bambi

Practice Mascot

Hi, I'm Bambi the practice mascot! If you've seen me running around the surgery you may have noticed that I'm a bit wobbly on my feet. I have Cerebellar Hypoplasia, which means my balance and co-ordination are affected because my brain didn't quite form properly. Don't worry, I'm still perfectly capable of getting myself into mischief - same as any other cat - I just look a bit tipsy whilst I'm doing it!
