What is your favourite animal and why?
I dont have a favourite - I just love spending time with, appreciating and interacting with all animals - even better that as a vet I get to have a positive impact on their health and welfare.
What pets do you have and what are their names?
4 horses - Splash, Luna, Sergeant and Cassie
2 dogs - Bob and Erin
2 ferrets - Pinky and Stinky
20 chickens (and yes they all have names - a few are Daffy, Tweety, Tweedle dum and Tweedle dee, Poufy, Welma and so it goes on!)
7 giant African land snails (who don't have names!)
What's the best pet name that you've ever come across?
Tango - the orange corn snake
What is your favourite famous animal?
Lots of canine blood donors around the country - but to pick one - Lance Hubber a greyhound cross - the original poster boy for and one of the first canine blood donors for the charity I have been part of http://www.petbloodbankuk.org/ since 2007 - pet blood bank provides canine blood for critically ill and injured dogs. Lance has retired from donating now (dogs retire at 9 years old) but donated 25 times saving lots of dogs and is a true hero as well as bouncing into the consult room every time he came in to donate and planting his front paws on my shoulders and giving me a big lick.
