Meet the team
Phil joined us in August 2023 as our Lead veterinary Surgeon. He has been working as a small animal vet for over 25 years having qualified in Edinburgh in 1997. Phil has worked in various practices in the UK and spent some time in Australia. He has been based in the North West for the past 15 years. Phil enjoys the day to day challenges of first opinion practice and the variety that brings, whether treating a great Dane with a sore leg one minute or a hamster with an upset stomach the next. He has an interest in small animal medicine especially endocrinology.
Lisa is an experienced veterinary surgeon who has returned to general practice after a 2 year period working in a referral centre. Her interests include Ophthalmology and Behavioural Medicine.
Lisa is the proud owner of 3 rescue spaniels who keep her busy outside of work along with her young family. She enjoys long walks in Wales and Scotland. Lisa recently adopted a lone female gerbil from the Pets At Home store and is hoping to bond her with a friend in the coming weeks.
Meet Helen, who has been a registered veterinary nurse since August 1997. She has gained extensive experience in practice over the years. Her interest areas are patient care and pain management, also pharmacy and dispensing. She earned her most recent her C-SQP qualification in 2021.
Helen has recently been working in referral practice, but returned to first opinion practice to be more client facing as she enjoys carrying out consultations. Helen is also clinical coach for our student nurses.
When Helen isn't busy at work she loves spending time with her two dogs Rodney and Moo, both pug crosses. She also has Dory the cockatiel. She also enjoys aviation as one of her hobbies.
My name is Sophie. I am a student veterinary nurse and have a Cavalier King Charles spaniel called George. I enjoy getting to know your pets and have an interest in in-patient care and making sure pets feel at home with us. I'm also the first one there when a Cavalier comes to visit.
Hi! My name is Josie Robinson. I am currently doing my VCA training and hoping to go onto the vet nursing course next year. I currently have a rescue puppy Bambi who keeps me busy and an older dog Bella. I also have 2 hamsters, 1 elderly cat and a crested Gecko (pretty much a zoo!).
My interests lie in small furries as I have had many in the past. I am really enjoying my VCA training and strive to give a high standard of patient care supported by my qualified colleagues.
My names Hannah, I’ve been a qualified veterinary nurse since the end of 2021. I started working at vets4pets at the start of 2024. I have a black and white cat at home called Molly who gets up to all sorts of mischief. I have interests in patient care and making sure they get the love and attention they deserve to make their visit with us as pleasant as possible.
Emma started her veterinary carer in Lancashire at the age of 16. Many years later she moved to Cheshire when she married her now husband Greg. Emma started at vets4pets as head nurse and has recently taken over as practice manger. She has four children, three ex racer greyhounds and a Jack Russell cross as well as five large breed tortoises. Outside of work she loves cooking and baking and the staff love tasting the results.
My Name is Rachel Platt, I have worked for Vets4Pets for 2 years now. I have learnt so much within this role and I have recently been promoted to Head Receptionist. I enjoy my job very much and have a passion for Animals.
I have 2 cats at home called Lily & Moo, they both enjoy running around chasing each other and leaving "hair glitter" everywhere! I have 2 children (well, young adults) 15 & 20 year old boys at home. They keep me busy when I'm not at work, shock horror they can't do much for themselves!
I enjoy going to concerts, I would say festivals however the last one I went to with my partner it rained the whole weekend and I've decided they're not for me!
I look forward to my future with Vets4Pets and will strive to work hard within my new role.
