Meet the team
![Krzysztof Kozarzewski](/siteassets/meet-the-team/krzysztof-kozarzewski.jpg?width=340)
After qualifying in Poland in 2004 I moved to the UK and worked in small and large animal practices for 7 years. There I gained extensive skills in first opinion medicine and surgery. After this I focused on small animals and worked in both first opinion as well as emergency and critical care hospitals. From the beginning of August 2016 I became the co-owner and the senior vet of the Vets for Pets in Somercotes. I feel privileged to work with such a dedicated and professional team of nurses and receptionists. My main veterinary interests are small animal medicine, soft tissue surgery and dentistry. My motto is that being a vet is a way of life, not just a job. Therefore, I’m also involved in the treatment and rehabilitation of wild and domestic animals at the Brinsley Animal Rescue. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, stargazing, walking and cuddling my dog Max and the three mischievous cats: Megan, Leya and Corey.

I qualified as an RVN in a small animal practice in Barry, South Wales in 2004. I lived near the beach and enjoyed walking my Bull Terrier here, which he also loved. I have since moved to Derbyshire where I now live with my husband and our 2 small children. We enjoy walking in our spare time, bike riding and taking part in country shows with livestock and our dogs. We share our house with 3 dogs, Boomer my old Bull Terrier, Cali, a Springer spaniel and Bear a young and bouncy Labrador. I compete for fun in local gundog scurries with my 2 younger dogs. I have worked at Somercotes Vets for Pets since opening and became partner with Krzysztof in August.
