I qualified from the University of Bristol,  and worked in Scotland and Northern Ireland while completing a master’s degree in conjunction with The Donkey Sanctuary. Six years ago took the brave leap to start out on my own after the birth of my first child Nicholas, since then I have had another two children, James and Isabelle. I also have a degree in animal behaviour and welfare, something I am truly passionate about.  With this in mind making sure that trips to the vets are as stress free as possible for pets and their owners is always at the front of my mind. This is especially true of my feline patients, who’s unique needs are often overlooked or misunderstood.  I am proud to say that my practice in Northern Ireland to achieve Gold standard Cat Friendly status. My other interests include palliative care and surgery. I live in Lisburn with my husband, and three beautiful children, with our cat Ember.

Hello I'm Alana!
I graduated from Myerscough College, Lancashire with FdSc in Veterinary Nursing in 2016.
Right through from training to present day, I have had the pleasure of working in different settings alongside experienced Veterinary Surgeons such as Orthopaedics, Small Animal Referral with the aid of Opthalmology, Physiotherapy and Holitisic Therapy, mixed practice and Emergency Out of Hours, as well as some volunteer work in a Carribbean animal shelter in-between!
I think all of this experience has shaped me into the nurse I am today with all round interests for patient care and i have specifically undertaken personal development in Small Animal Medicine, Opthalmology and Canine Geriatric Physiotherapy, to name but a few over the years.
Originating from Co. Armagh, I have now settled into a full time role with Vets for Pets Lisburn Longstone since January 2023 after a stint of locuming here previously from July 2022, between working night shifts.
Outside of work I love to socialise with friends, spend time with my family and pets, including my cat Myrtle (pictured) and studying to provide reflexology (for humans!)

I graduated from Edinburgh Napier University in 2015 with an honours degree in Veterinary Nursing. I have recently moved over to Northern Ireland from Scotland with my husband and two children. I joined the Vets for Pets Lisburn Longstone team in March 2023 after previously working in both small animal and exotic veterinary practices.

I enjoy working with all animals but have a particular love for Rabbit Medicine and completed my dissertation on rabbit dentistry and nutrition. I'm also the clinical coach within the practice, which involves training and supporting student Veterinary Nurses.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and my crazy Cocker Spaniel Jarvis.

My name is Lorraine. I have been with Vets for Pets from February so I am still finding my feet. I have to say everyone, staff and clients alike, have made me feel very welcome.
Most of my career has been in administration but my real love has to be animals. I have been involved in a charity called Caring Canines. Members take their own dogs to Care Homes to visit the residents. At present I volunteer at Almost Home Animal Rescue in Moira. This is hard work but very rewarding.

Any other spare time is spent with my husband, 4 dogs, grandkids and good friends.
