Meet the team

Jenny Millington
Practice Owner & Veterinary Surgeon
BVetMed (Hons) CertAVP (VetGP) MRCVS - Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Practice
I qualified with distinction in 1999 and have worked exclusively in small animal practice since then. Eventually I decided I wanted to run my own practice, so in 2009 opened Vets4Pets. I love seeing how the practice has grown, yet I pride myself on providing a first class personal service to each and every pet, no matter how large we get. In 2016 I gained my RCVS Advanced Practitioner qualification in Small Animal Practice - I am the only vet in Northamptonshire to have this qualification, and enables me to effectively lead the great team we have built up to deliver outstanding care for your pets. I love all aspects of veterinary life - from consulting to dealing with emergencies through to surgery, and like to get to know my patients and clients personally over the years that they come to us. I regularly act as an expert witness for the court in animal welfare and cruelty cases, and I'm also involved in several local animal charities. In my spare time I'm kept busy with my two young sons. I look forward to welcoming you and your pet to our practice.

Damiano Giordano
Veterinary Surgeon
DVM MRCVS PgCert (SAS) Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery
Dami joined the practice at the beginning of January 2021. He is from Sicily in Italy and graduated from the University of Bologna in 2012. He has been living in Northamptonshire since moving to the UK in 2013. Dami enjoys all aspects of his role but has a particular interest in Orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery. Dami enjoys running and cooking Pizza.

Charlotte Whitecross
Veterinary Surgeon
BVMS MRCVS GPCert (EM&S) Advanced Practitioner in Emergency and Critical Care

I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2018 and joined the Northampton Vets4Pets shortly after, having spent a lot of time with the team as a student. I love working with a team that is so passionate about helping our patients and providing an exceptional level of care. I enjoy all aspects of small animal practice, from consulting and meeting our clients and their lovely pets, to dealing with emergencies and critical cases. I have a special interest in ophthalmology (eyes) and always enjoy the challenge that these cases present. Outside of work I enjoy walking my dogs (Hunny and Nelly), meeting up with friends and practicing circus skills.

I’m Marise and I graduated from Nottingham University in 2015. Since then I have primarily worked for a busy charity hospital in Leicester while establishing good relationships with various local private practices as a locum. While I enjoy all aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery, my main interest lies in emergency work. I have recently completed a certificate of advanced veterinary practice in this area with modules including anaesthesia and critical care. I am very much looking forward to the case continuity that working for a 24-hour hospital provides, especially for the most critical patients, and being able to utilize the advanced equipment the practice has invested in to investigate cases to a high standard.
Outside of work I can usually be found on adventures with my rescue Lurcher, Tia, horse riding, bouldering or spending time with friends (and most likely their dogs too!)

I graduated from The University of Nottingham vet school in 2020. I have been a regular student at the Northampton practice for many years, first coming when I was at school before university. Back then, the practice was in its infancy compared to the great hospital we have now. I love working with such an enthusiastic, supportive team that will allow me to grow and develop my skills as a vet. I enjoy many aspects of veterinary medicine from meeting our clients and working up a case through from start to finish, all the way to emergencies and soft tissue surgery. Outside of work I can often be found following my favourite football team, seeing friends or running to try keep fit(ish).

Kirsty joined the practice in January 2021 when she relocated to Northamptonshire from Yorkshire. Kirsty graduated nearly five years ago and enjoys consulting the most because she gets to meet our clients and their pets. Kirsty has two dogs of her own a Border terrier called Scamp and a Anatolian shepherd called Layla.

I've graduated in 2020. As a vet, I like being able to cause a positive impact in a patient's wellbeing and seeing what that means to the client, it's the most rewarding aspect of the job. Although I like all the aspects of veterinary, surgery and imaging are the areas I want to develop further in this new adventure.
When I'm not working I usually spend my time outside exploring and exercising. Football and cooking for family and friends are also things I love doing.

Davinia has been nursing for over 20 years and is the Head Veterinary Nurse and a Joint Venture Partner for the practice. She opened the practice with Jenny in 2009, and has enjoyed watching it grow since then. Davinia loves all aspects of nursing, but has a special interest and experience in surgical nursing. In 2017 she gained the BSAVA Merit Award in Surgical Nursing, and has extensive experience in this area. She is passionate about providing our own on site 24 hour nursing care. Davinia leads a large dedicated nursing team, and is also responsible for supervising the student nurses and helping them to qualify. In her spare time Davinia enjoys walks in the countryside with her daughter, husband and rescue lurcher, Fern

I joined the practice in May 2017 just after gaining a degree in Veterinary Nursing from the Royal Veterinary College. I took over as Head Nurse in November 2018. I am very much enjoying being Head Nurse and leading our large nursing team.
I have a keen interest in surgery and diagnostic imaging. I will be undertaking my advanced nursing certificate in surgical nursing in the upcoming years. I also enjoying being a clinical coach to the students and helping them with their training.
I have a horse called Wincent, who I enjoy taking to competitions and also two dogs called Dylan and Harley.

Caroline Pollard

RVN

I am a registered veterinary nurse and qualified in November 2005 although I have been in general practice for just over 16 years and joined the Vets4Pets team here at Northampton in 2013.
I enjoy most aspects of nursing and am very passionate about providing high standards of care for each and every patient that comes through the door.
I have a particular interest in Anaesthesia, Analgesia and Emergency and Critical Care recently having completed a BSAVA Merit Award in the subject.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my two children, other family and friends and I also do a lot of strength training which comes in handy with lifting the big dogs!
I love being part of the team here, meeting all the patients and their parents and always look forward to what each day brings, because no day is ever the same!

I have been qualified since 2010 and in that time I have worked in a variety of clinical environments, mostly as a locum. From very small teams up to the vastness of the RVC.
In my spare time I engage in many activities but I am a keen gardener growing lots of fruit and vegetables that I like to turn in to recipes. I enjoy getting out hiking with the dog and really love to relax in front of the fire with a great book.

Out of Hours Kennel Assistant

I started working at Vets4Pets Northampton in March 2020 as a Veterinary Care Assistant, before being given the fantastic opportunity to start my Veterinary Nursing training in September 2020. I really enjoy my time working in the kennel areas, caring for both the day patients and hospitalised inpatients, but have also found both wound care and nutrition quite interesting. In my spare time, you will either find me in my kitchen baking sweet treats and cakes, or out on walks with my parent’s springer spaniel, Luna, but I cannot wait to find a rescue dog to call my own sometime in the future!

I am a Veterinary Care Assistant here at Vets 4 Pets and am passionate about animal welfare. I have a special interest in post-operative care. My favourite animals are dogs, especially labradors! I would love to one day become a Registered Veterinary Nurse. I look foward to welcoming you all to the practice!

Amanda joined the practice in September 2020 as our Client Care Manager which mean she can normally be found out on reception helping our clients. Amanda lives at home with her partner and over fifty different exotic pets ranging from reptiles to dormice and a cockatoo. Amanda also volunteers for the RSPCA Northampton as a cat foster home. With any spare time she has leftover she can be found at her stables riding one of her three horses.

I have been working in veterinary practices for the last 4 years after working in a Pathology lab. I have previously worked as a zoo keeper, veterinary nurse assistant and as an ambulance driver with the RSPCA in London, attending the rescues of sick and injured animals. I also worked on an elephant conservation project in Thailand which was an amazing experience. I do not currently have any pets but I am hoping to do some fostering work with the RSPCA very soon.

I started working for Vets4pets in May 2022. Before that I worked in retail but knew I always wanted to work around animals. In the future I would love to have a dalmation. I enjoy baking brownies, spending time with my family and going to the gym.
