Read Robin bio

Hi I’m Robin and the practice owner, I graduated from The Royal Veterinary College in 2001. Having spent the majority of my career in Lancashire, I settled in Accrington in 2006. Over the years I have developed a keen interest in surgery and regularly operate on orthopaedic and more advanced soft tissue cases. I am studying towards the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons accredited Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (General Surgery). In my spare time I likes to spend time with my family, four dogs, three cats and a menagerie of small furries. I also have an unhealthy interest in Fast Ford cars.

I am interested in all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery and I am really enjoying working with the fabulous team here who have helped me to thrive.
I spend a lot of my spare time with my horse and cuddling my three cats. I also love walking in the Lake District with my partner and we are trying to complete the Wainwright Walks.
I look forward to meeting you along with your lovely pets!

Read Amanda bio

Hi I’m Amanda, I first started working in the veterinary profession in 2000 and qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2004. Since qualifying I have worked in a number of practices in the North West of England, from small practices to referral centres and large hospitals and emergency and critical care practices. I have worked in all areas throughout my career, theatre, wards, out of hours and preventative health care consultations. During this time have I have gained my A1 assessor qualification and been a clinical coach. I first joined Vets4pets group at Penny Lane, and joined Accrington Vets4pets in 2018, where I have taken the head nurse roll. I’m interested in all aspects of nursing and passionate about providing a high standard of patient care for your furry family members. In my spare time I am busy with my horses Harold and Solomon and my cat Kitty.

Read Paula bio

Hi I'm Paula; I've been in the veterinary profession since 1998! I qualified as a veterinary nurse way back in 2000. Since I qualified I have had various roles as a veterinary nurse. I worked as a locum veterinary nurse for 5 years, working all over the UK in referral centres, emergency and critical care hospitals and smaller rural practices. I then lectured in veterinary nursing for a short while, whilst I completed my 7307 teaching qualification. Before deciding to head back to familiar ground and went back into practice where I joined Vets4pets Bury; there I became Head veterinary nurse for a further 8 years. During this time I became a clinical coach and was responsible for training student veterinary nurses. I also gained my Level 4 qualification in First line management.

Practice Manager

Read Tom bio

Hi I’m Tom, I’m the practice manager here at Accrington Vets4Pets.
I’ve worked across multiple practices in the North West over the last 3 years and prior to this I worked as a retail manager for Pets at Home.
I’ve spent the last 14 years working with pets and I have loved every moment of it gaining different qualifications from OATA, AMTRA and Reaseheath, since coming across to the vet industry I’ve enjoyed meeting all the amazing pets and owners that come in to practice and helping them wherever I can.
In my spare time I like to go walking in the Lake District with my family and 2 dogs, socialising with friends, and getting out and about whenever I can.

I look forward to meeting you all and pets.

Read Holly bio

Hello, my name is Holly and I am 20 years old. I am the Veterinary care assistant (VCA) here at Accrington vets4pets and have been for the past 3 years. I absolutely love my job and can’t wait to start my veterinary nurse training to become a registered vet nurse and further my knowledge. I have previously studied animal management at college so I am no stranger to exotics. I have 3 cats at home, 2 of which I have rescued from the practice and are both Persians and 1 who was my Christmas present back in 2017 who is a DSH.

In my spare time I love to keep busy, whether it’s socialising with friends, going on holiday, or relaxing with my fur babies. I have luckily been able to travel quite a lot over the past few years, I recently went on holiday and did a tour of America, which was amazing! I look forward to all the new and exciting places that I can visit in the future.

I’m excited to meet you all J
