Advanced services

We have invested considerably in our team and kit to make a number of advanced services available to our clients. We also accept referrals from other veterinary practices.

Orthopaedics

Our veterinary team have undertaken advanced training to allow us to perform orthopaedic surgery in our practice. If your pet develops an abnormality involving their skeleton or joints, such as elbow dysplasia, a patella (kneecap) that gets stuck, or a torn cruciate ligament, an orthopaedic procedure may help them.

Ultrasound

We are pleased to be able to offer ultrasound scanning in practice, which is a painless way to look inside your pet’s body to find out what’s going on.

Ana Xavier

Ana Xavier

Practice Owner & Veterinary Surgeon

Read Ana Xavier bio

Having graduated from Lisbon University in 2005, Ana worked in Utrecht, Netherlands until moving to Britain in 2006. Her main areas of interest are endocrinology, orthopedics and acupuncture. Ana speaks fluently in 5 languages and occasionally she gets these mixed up which leaves the nurses very confused! She has 2 cats, Oli and Gorda, which she loves to bits, almost as much as her new husband, Jose, who is also a vet.

Vanessa Lambert

Read Vanessa Lambert bio

Vanessa graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2004. Since then she has worked in various practices in Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk but she also spent some time doing charity work in the more exotic locations of Thailand, India and Cook Islands. She deeply enjoys working with small animals and has a keen interest in small animal medicine, so much so that she recently completed her General Practitioner Certificate in Small Animal Medicine. At home, Vanessa has one dog, one cat, one chicken and one child to keep her very busy!

Claire

Head Registered Veterinary Nurse

Read Claire bio

Claire started by volunteering in a veterinary practice when she was 14 years old, and has been in practice ever since - which adds up to over 30 years! She has worked with small and large mammals, birds and exotic species, even including zoo animals.

In 2002 Claire qualified as a Veterinary Nurse and joined the register in 2003 to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse.
In 2005 she undertook training to become an assessor and then later clinical coach and supervisor training which allowed her to help nursing students learn the practical skills for their qualifications. Claire has helped over 40 students to gain their own knowledge and qualifications.

Over the years she has had many fur babies and even nursed many animals at home, in her own time.

Megan Website Pic

Megan

Veterinary Care Assistant

Read Megan bio

Megan is one of our Veterinary Care Assistants - when she's not at work you can find her exploring the outdoors! Hiking, camping, or paddle boarding, if it involves fresh air and a bit of adventure, she's in!

At home, Megan shares her space with two French Bulldogs (who think they’re lap dogs despite their size), two domestic shorthair cats who run the house, and a guinea pig who’s probably plotting world domination... Between all of them, there’s never a dull moment!
