Advanced services
We have invested considerably in our team and kit to make a number of advanced services available to our clients. We also accept referrals from other practices.
Orthopaedics
Our veterinary team have undertaken advanced training to allow us to perform orthopaedic surgery in our practice. If your pet develops an abnormality involving their skeleton or joints, such as elbow dysplasia, a patella (kneecap) that gets stuck, or a torn cruciate ligament, an orthopaedic procedure may help them.
Ophthalmology
Ophthalmology diagnoses and treats conditions of the eyes and their associated structures. Our veterinary ophthalmology service is available for a wide range of medical surgical conditions in small animals.
We can treat the following conditions: Third eyelid gland prolapse, Entropion, Ectropion, Keratotomy, Corneal graft, Electrolysis for distichiasis, Medial canthoplasty, Laceration repair, Aqueocentesis, Conjunctivectomy and retinal screening for onset of sudden blindness to the list of conditions.
Meet the team

Sinead trained as a vet in Dublin, moving straight to small animal work in an independent practice in Southampton. In 2004, she found her ideal job in our busy practice in Charlton and decided to take on the challenge of owning the practice in 2006. For the past 20+ years she has been dedicated to providing outstanding care to pets in and around Charlton. She has a passion for surgery and is a certificate holder in Small Animal Surgery. Sinead performs advanced orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery and is happy to receive referrals for these procedures.
Sinead is a keen cyclist who will be out on her bike in all weathers. She has two energetic kids and a lazy cat called Zorro.

Fabio Di Popolo
Practice Owner & Head Nurse
BSc (Hons) RVN CertVNECC CertFN
Fabio’s journey here at Vets4Pets Charlton has been rather unique, it all started back in 2012 with a 2-week work experience placement, during this time he was deciding whether a career in the veterinary industry was for him, needless to say it was, and he’s never left us since.
Fabio graduated as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2017, and since then has completed two certificates, the first in Feline Nursing in 2019, and the second in Emergency and Critical Care in 2021. He now attends university on a part time basis to further advance his clinical skill set.
In June 2021, Fabio became a partner in Vets4Pets Charlton, and his time is now divided between practice management and head nurse responsibilities.
At home Fabio has two cats, Tommy and Trubble. He reminds us on a frequent basis that Trubble most definitely causes lots of Trouble!
