Qualifying in 1997 from Liverpool University, I spent my first years in mixed practice in Cumbria and Derbyshire, before concentrating solely on small animal work, and have been practising in the Colne area since 2008. I have a great interest in internal medicine, and extended my knowledge in the completion of a General Practitioners Certificate in Small Animal Medicine in 2009. I have a particular interest in diagnostic imaging and dermatology. When not at work, I enjoy spending time with the hubbie and 2 daughters on the sheep farm with our 5 Border Collies, and intermittently annoying them all by playing the ukulele.

I have been in practice for 10 years, qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2012 and have been with Vets4pets Colne since 2015. Since then I have progressed to head nurse and now I’m practice manager. I have a keen interest in dermatology, and gained my BSAVA merit award in 2017. You’ll often find me looking down a microscope at micro organisms I’ve found in ears! Not only do I love being in theatre monitoring anaesthetics, But i also love buying new stationery for my new manager role!

At home, I enjoy geeky crafts - crochet and cross stitch and have done plenty of computer game related projects. I am also on my way to becoming a crazy cat lady, I have 3 already.

I have over 10 years of veterinary nurse experience, qualifying from Myerscough College in 2004. I am most enthusiastic about the surgical side of nursing but also enjoy giving excellent nursing care to patients who have to stay with us for a short while. I also have a very keen interest in behavior and love running puppy parties.

I live with my fiance and when not at work, I look after our young daughter and am currently renovating our house. I have a rescue cat called Matilda, which I hand-reared from a few weeks old, two Dutch rabbits called Mario and Pip, a tropical fish tank and an aviary with cockatiels and quail. I currently don't have a dog but am looking for a rescue one to fill the gap...
