Dr Lenesa Govender
Practice Owner & Senior Veterinary Surgeon
BVSc GPCertSAS MRCVS
I have had the pleasure of being a vet since 2003, after qualifying at Onderstepoort in South Africa. My first year at an RSPCA hospital in Johannesburg gave me invaluable experience and hands on skills. I have been working in small animal practice in the UK since 2005, and have gained a lot of experience in all aspects of being a vet making me a well-rounded vet working with cats, dogs, rabbits, Guinea pigs, hamsters to name a few, plus forming life long bonds with many pet owners. My real passion has always been surgery, therefore I studied further and attained a further qualification in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, giving me the skills to do surgeries such as cruciate ligament repairs, perineal hernia repairs, eyelid surgeries and reconstruction surgery with flaps and skin grafts. Over the years I have been very lucky to have worked with and got to know many wonderful colleagues with whom we have helped lots of beloved pets. Now I look forward to building and developing my practice, so we can offer more diagnostics, and best treatments for our patients. I'm also passionate about helping pet owners with as much information as possible so they are in the best place to take the best care of their pets. My growing team at Epsom Vets4pets, shares the same passion, and also have a variety of clinical and non-clinical skills. We all look forward to meeting our new clients and their pets, and feel privileged to continue taking care of our long standing loyal clients and their much loved pets. Thank you for choosing us.

Salonee is a veterinarian who graduated from Slovakia in July 2021 and started working with us in April 2022. You will notice that she will give your pets a wide variety of interesting nicknames during consults, such as honey pie and sweet potato! She loves cats, dogs and exotics alike. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, walking in nature, and dancing.

Veterinary Surgeon

I have been working at Vets4Pets Epsom since 2017, when I started as a Veterinary Care Assistant. I have since trained to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse, and then moved on to become Head Veterinary Nurse in 2024. I enjoy working as a Veterinary Nurse, and my favourite aspects of nursing are surgery and in-patient care. I am passionate about animal welfare and treating every patient as I would like my own beloved pets to be treated. In my free time, I like reading, playing video games, and spending time with my dog and my cat.

I qualified in 2013 after completing my degree in veterinary nursing at the Royal Veterinary College. I have since worked at various private practices as well as at a charity. I have trained several students and enjoy all aspects of the job, but I particularly like consulting and interacting with owners as well as their pets. I now work part time at Epsom Vets4Pets as I have 2 young children who keep me busy full time at home!

I started out working for the Pets at home store in Epsom, to later working at the groom room. After gaining valuable experience in these roles I knew I wanted to progress and work in the veterinary industry. An opportunity arises at Epsom vets4pets so I interviewed and was successful. My first role was a Veterinary care assistant and I am now a student veterinary nurse. I have a great passion for the gym and enjoy spending time with my animals and family.

My first role as a Veterinary Care Assistant began in a Veterinary hospital in Barcelona, Spain. After a year of experience, I decided to move to the UK to further my studies. I’ve spent the last two years working as a Veterinary Assistant in Epsom, gaining hands-on experience in animal care. In January 2025, I will be transitioning to a Student Veterinary Nurse to further my education and skills. Outside of work, I enjoy staying active exercising, painting and spending time with my handsome cat Galetis.

Hello! I have been working here as a part-time Client Care Advisor since January 2022. I have a lifelong love for animals, having grown up with lots of pets and continuing the habit through my adult life. The most I have had at one time is 13 pets (including 8 guinea pigs). I currently have a more sensible number: a 12 year old dachshund, Ruby; a 16 year old cat, Scrappy; and a 3 year old blind cat, Kahlo. He is amazing and lives a full life – you wouldn’t even know he’s blind!
Many years ago, I worked at a veterinary practice for several years. I took a break to have and raise my daughter, starting to work part-time in her school when she turned 5, which was very convenient. But I always missed the veterinary world and when she was grown up so I could work more hours, I started working here. I love it! Outside of work, my daughter and my pets are my main focus. I also love film and theatre.

My name is Maisy and I have recently joined vets4pets as a veterinary care assistant. I studied animal care and management at Nescot College. Studying at Nescot allowed me the opportunity to carry out a work experience placement in Chessington zoo. I really enjoy and appreciate working with animals as it has always been my dream. Outside of work I enjoy horse riding, spending time with my family, friends and my 2 dogs Teddy and Milo.

Hello! My name is Aaliyah and I am one of the client care advisors at Vets4Pets Epsom. I had previously worked at Vets4Pets Epsom for 5 years as a client care advisor and veterinary care assistant, but decided to move abroad to the Netherlands in 2022 to experience living in a different country. I enjoyed every moment of it, but eventually it was time to come back to the UK. I was welcomed back with open arms in late 2024 to work alongside such a great team who care so much for the welfare of animals. My love for working with pets drives me to provide a welcoming experience for our clients and their furry companions.
I live in the area with my fiancé and our beautiful cat Kimchi, who was brought in to the practice as a stray at just 3 days old in 2021! My hobbies outside of work include weight training, playing video games and trying new foods!
