What do you like about the positon? The team are lovely and have been very welcoming. It is nice being able to put my stamp on a fairly new practice being the new lead vet and I look forward to watching it continue to grow further. Background: I had always wanted to become a vet ever since I can remember. After qualifying from the Royal Dick Vet in Edinburgh in 2010, I started my career up in Elgin in a mixed practice. I had always wanted to eventually move back down to Central Scotland and managed to find a job in a small animal practice in the Falkirk area. I was very pleased to be offered the Lead Vet position here at Falkirk Vets4Pets and look forward to the new exciting challenges this will bring in the future. Interests: I have 3 lovely children and spend a lot of me free time outside of work doing activities and going places with the kids. I love going on holiday and spend most holidays in Turkey where some of my family live. I have a lovely 3 year old lab called Molly and a cheeky little cat called Kev whom were both rescued when I worked in Elgin.

I am a 2016 graduate of the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh. Growing up in rural New Hampshire in the USA, I developed a keen interest in veterinary medicine & animals from a young age. In 2011 I graduated with my bachelor of science in Biology, then I moved to Edinburgh in 2012 to pursue my veterinary degree. Upon graduating I moved back to the USA to pursue an internship at an equine referral hospital/small animal general practice. After gaining skills and all kinds of insight into veterinary medicine, I decided to move back of Scotland to re-join my partner Richard in Edinburgh and this joined the team at Vets4Pets Falkirk. I have a rambunctious 7 year old French Brittany “Aonghus”. This little man is my partner in crime, having travelled around the world with me. Back home I have a 5 year old ragdoll called “Haemish” and a 17 year old Paint horse called Chance.

I Joined the Falkirk Vets4Pets team as Practice Manager in November 2016. After having always worked with animals in numerous different rolls and working alongside many different Veterinary practices, it is lovely to now see how the other side of the consult doors run. At home I have my Black Labrador who we rescued a few years ago. Teistie is now 11 years old and is a ex-gun dog, he tends to be my shadow no matter where I go, including coming to work with me on a daily basis. Teisties favourite things to do are eating and sleeping. My other two pets are Charlie and Nutmeg who are my two horses. Charlie is a 8 year old Sports horse who loves nothing more than to cause trouble and thinks he is always the boss. Nutmeg is my little Shetland who I have owned since she was 10 months old. When I'm not working you will most likely find me spending time with my horses and Teistie, but in my spare time I love to eat out, go on nice walks and spend weekends up North relaxing with my partner, friends and family.

I have worked at Vets4Pets Falkirk since April 2017. The main things I like about my position is our team and working with the public (and their animals of course!). I have worked with animals for most of my life but I moved over into hospitality to gain valuable customer service experience, but having missed working with animals too much I decided to move back into the industry joining vets4pets. My interests outside of work are my own animals, reading, drawing, video games and meditation. Also I am a big huge movie buff and have recently found a love of everything comic book related! I have two beautiful cats, Arya, my 2 year old tabby cat who loves to play in water, and Mjolnir, who is a little under 2 years, who is a large grey and white, that is scared of his own shadow. I also have two wee guinea pigs, Flash is a little ginger and white piggy and Grimm, who is a tri coloured, they are both 3 years old.

I joined Vets4pets in July 2017. What I like about the position is the Team and all our beautiful patients! Background – I am from Falkirk so it is a great place for me to work. I have never worked as a Receptionist before but I enjoy the position a lot. I enjoy working with the public and it’s what I am used to from my previous job. Also I am a big animal lover so I enjoy coming to work every day to see all the animals. Interests – My main interest is in dancing. I have been dancing since I was 3 years old and have always loved it. I’ve stopped it just now because of work commitments but would certainly love to take it up again in the future as I loved taking part in the shows and competitions. Pets – At the moment, I only have my little Bunbun. Her name is Maisie and I love her. She’s a beige lop rabbit and she is the cutest. Hopefully I will get more rabbits and dogs in the future (once I have my own house).
