Our Veterinary Services
Dental Procedures
Unhealthy teeth can cause your pet all kinds of health problems. Dental treatment is a common and routine part of veterinary clinic, and our team is here to ensure that your pet maintains healthy teeth through the following procedures that are offered at our practice: oral examination, dental x-rays, extractions, scale and polish.
Laser Therapy
Laser therapy is a non-invasive method which is used in conjunction with, or in place of medications that manage pain, inflammation and wound healing. Therapeutic lasers use light waves that alter the physiology of cells and tissues which then promotes their growth and repair. Laser therapy can be used after surgery to speed up wound healing and may reduce the need for pain relieving medications. Furthermore, it can help with: wound healing, bone and cartilage repair, Osteoarthritis, ligament and tendon conditions, nerve and spinal cord problems.
Physiotherapy
We are delighted to introduce our veterinary physiotherapy services based in Grimsby providing rehabilitation for pets.
Small animal physiotherapy is a complementary therapy for issues affecting physical movement. For example, lameness arising from an injury, following an operation, or age-related conditions such as arthritis, can benefit.

Alex graduated from the Univeristy of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Cluj-Napoca, Romania in 2007
Alex has been working in various areas of the veterinary profession, including veterinary pharmacy, official veterinarian for The Food Standards Agency, farming industry and eventually did an internship in small animal veterinary practice at Animal Medical Centre Referral Services in Manchester and Barnsley. Here he learned from well-known specialists in the fields of Opthamology, internal medicine , dentistry and dermatology. He then decided to follow a career in the companion veterinary medicine. During the pandemic he was awarded a Postgraduate Certificate in Small Animal Emergency Practice.
He enjoys travelling, reading books and DIY
My love of animals and science led me to achieve a Bachelor of Veterinary Science at Bristol University 2008 BVSc. After two years in a “mixed veterinary” environment I decided to focus purely on “small animal” practice. I moved to Lincolnshire, married and started a family with Sarah in 2011 and have worked in private and charity hospitals, most recently at Clinical Director level.
After further surgical training I was awarded the British Small Animal Veterinary Association Post Graduate Certificate (Distinction) in Small Animal Surgery BSAVA PGcertSAS in 2016. A further focus in musculoskeletal disease led me to complete the European School of Post Graduate Studies General Practitioner Advanced Certificate in Small Animal Orthopaedic Surgery GPAdvCert (SAOS) in 2019.
I now work independently as a “peripatetic vet” traveling to a variety of general practices and private clients in Lincolnshire and beyond offering my skills and services. I have found this the most rewarding phase of my career so far with more time devoted to my patients and clients consequently.
Whilst I am primarily a surgeon, my view is to continue to develop treatment of my patients in the most holistic manner possible. I have a special interest in musculoskeletal function and pain management. I ask myself how can I make the greatest impact? Pain in animals is the most common condition we see as vets and the greatest area for improvement. My goal is therefore the “management of pain and promotion of quality of life”.
Sarah my wife, Isabella and Amelia my daughters, are my inspiration. If I have any time between work and family (rare), I can be seen exploring the countryside on my bike or visiting the clouds in a plane.
Significantly I have three boxers (Bee, Flo and Moby), one Beagle (Clause) and one tabby cat (Mustafa). They have learned to accept me as an owner despite being a VET! I also inherit every clients animal friend as my own whilst under my care.
Graduated at the University "Spiru Haret" - Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 2018
During faculty I worked in a practice for about 2 years, and it is there that I started loving to work with small animals. It was at a big clinic in Bucharest where I gained experience with procedures such as ultrasound, x-rays and operations
I came to the UK in 2018 and worked as a VMHI (Veterinary Meat Hygiene Inspector) for Eville and Jones
I joined Vets4Pets Grimsby in November 2023
Outside work I enjoy spending time with my 3 year old son, cooking ( as it relaxes me) and reading romance novels
