Advanced services
We have invested considerably in our team and kit to make a number of advanced services available to our clients. We also accept referrals from other practices.
Orthopaedics
Our veterinary team have undertaken advanced training to allow us to perform orthopaedic surgery in our practice. If your pet develops an abnormality involving their skeleton or joints, such as elbow dysplasia, a patella (kneecap) that gets stuck, or a torn cruciate ligament, an orthopaedic procedure may help them.

Michelle Powis
Practice Owner and Veterinary Surgeon
BSc Hons BVetMed PGCertSAS MRCVS
I am originally from Chester and qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon at the University of Edinburgh in 2010. I started working at Vets4Pets Solihull in 2015 when I became a joint partner in the practice, a couple of years later I also became a joint partner of Vets4Pets Halesowen.
I feel the most rewarding aspects of being a vet is helping clients on a daily basis and building long term relationships with pets and their owners. I currently have a rescue cat called Garfield, who’s a character to say the least!
I started working at Halesowen Vets4Pets in December 2021, the team here is wonderful and I enjoy being able to meet all the wonderful pets. I graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2015 and since then have grown my passion in seeing and treating all pets (including the more “exotic” patients – including reptiles and birds). I am currently studying towards a certificate in zoological medicine, allowing me to expand my knowledge in this area even further.
I enjoy spending my free time out walking with my German Shepherd Bear, or sitting down relaxing with a good book! I also have three guinea pigs and a hamster but my dream pet is a Monitor Lizard. I look forward to meeting all your furry, scaled and feathered pets!
I graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, in 2016. I have been a member of the Halesowen Vets for Pets team since 2021 and really enjoy working with all the team here. I am currently doing a certificate in small animal soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery.
I have a Belgian shepherd rescue dog called Hera, but due to my busy life and work she has to stay with my mum in Greece. When not travelling back home to see family, I enjoy spending my free time reading or going to the cinema or out for food with friends.
After graduating from the University of Cambridge in 2022, I moved to the Birmingham area to join the Vets4Pets graduate program. In 2024, I then joined Vets4Pets Halesowen. While I love all aspects of veterinary medicine, I have a particular interest in preventative care and nutrition. In my spare time, I enjoy exploring the outdoors with my White Swiss Shepherd, Arla, and occasionally participate in dog shows with her!
My name’s Christie and I’ve been at Halesowen Vets4Pets since 2020. I started as a student nurse studying at Moreton Morrell College and qualified in 2021 & have now stepped into the head nurse role. I enjoy orthopaedic, rehabilitation and senior nursing and helping to ensure positive outcomes for our patients both young and old. I am currently studying canine massage therapy in hope to pursue further interests in rehabilitation therapy.
When not at work I enjoy spending time with my husband & beautiful staffy called Rags.
I graduated Hartpury University in 2023. As part of my degree, I travelled to Zimbabwe to volunteer with orphaned wildlife, which was an incredible experience! I started here at Halesowen in January 2024. I plan to start my master’s degree in Advanced Veterinary Nursing in September 2024. I have a keen interest in surgery and anaesthesia and enjoy nursing inpatients.
I have two dogs of my own, a golden retriever called Dug and a Weimaraner called Bonnie. Both love long walks and cuddles on the sofa.

I first began working at Vets4Pets at the start of 2018, where I was Practice Manager at Solihull. In 2019, I was given the opportunity to join the team here at Halesowen, and my time is now spent between the 2 pracitces.
I had spent the previous 11 years as a Qualified Veterinary Nurse. My main passion within this profession has always been for patient and client care, I now have the chance to really give the best care to clients as well as their pets, and still get to help nurse when needed.
I currently have 4 cats, all but one are hand reared rescues that came to my place of work. You will see me around the practice, so I look forward to meeting you and your pets!
I joined Halesowen Vets4Pets in January 2021. It was lovely joining such a close team and feeling accepted straight away.
I enjoy that every day here is different and hearing all about your lovely pets.
I have a 3 year old Staffordshire bull terrier named Jax. Who we’ve had since he was 8 weeks old.
In my spare time I enjoy visiting new places and spending time with friends and family.
I joined the team here at Halesowen in February 2021 after working as a dog groomer for 5 years. The team here are wonderful and have such an inspiring genuine love for animals.
I have two beautifully mischievous border collies called Bonnie and Penny who love nothing more then going on a super long walk and catching a ball.
In my spare time I enjoy going to the theatre to watch musicals and taking my little nephew to see lots of animals at a farm! I’m also a huge Harry Potter fan!
I started working at Vets4Pets Halesowen in July 2023. I really enjoy working here with such a lovely, friendly team that are always there to help.
I currently don’t have any pets as I lost my beloved 16 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier called Ozzy at the end of 2023, but I always look forward to seeing all your wonderful pets in practice. I hope to get another dog one day in the future.
I love to spend time with family and friends, go out for food and visit lots of different places on holiday.
I have worked at Halesowen Vets for Pets since December 2023 and absolutely love it, every day is so different, and the staff are so close knit and supportive.
I have 2 rescue dogs, a Cockerpoo called Finley and a Golder Retriever called Derek, and enjoy taking them for walks. I have many eclectic hobbies including working towards a piercing certificate, diving and growing vegetables.
Vets4Pets Halesowen is committed to bringing you affordable, high quality care via a modern, well equipped practice, including a lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, full laparoscopic kit, endoscopy and ultrasound. Plus, on site car parking too!
