I am originally from Chester and qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon at the University of Edinburgh in 2010. Following graduation, my first job was at a small animal practice in Wolverhampton which gave me experience in all aspects of veterinary care and ultimately I became responsible for the majority of surgical cases. In addition, I worked with the local greyhound track providing the veterinary care and emergency treatment for the racing dogs and the local retired greyhound trust, which is something I have a passion for. The most rewarding aspects of being a vet is helping clients on a daily basis and building long term relationships with pets and their owners. I have a keen interest in surgery (particularly orthopaedics) and I am currently finalising further qualifications in surgery. I live with my girlfriend Rachel and our thoroughly odd cat Chester in Birmingham. I am a keen hockey player and I continue to play for Wolverhampton and Tettenhall whenever possible.

I graduated from Veterinary Medicine in 2019 from University College Dublin. Ireland is my home but I love to travel so I came to Halesowen for my first job and settled myself in Birmingham. I ADORE all animals but will always have a soft spot for cats, as I grew up with the sweetest cat in the world alongside me. My passion for veterinary medicine comes from a desire to improve the lives of our fur-babies and within the field I have a particular interest in medical cases that involve working with the owner and pet towards their long term health. Outside of work you’ll find me cooking or baking vegan food or hopping on a plane to explore as much of the world as possible.

My name is Gemma. I have had the privilege of working with animals since leaving school to study the national diploma in applied science animal managment at solihull college. My career with animals has been a varied one, ranging from rearing calves, to kittens!

Animal health and welfare being a passion of mine, I went on to do my veterinary nurse training, qualifying in 2016. I love helping you fellow pet owners out as much as I can. No question is to silly or too small.

I first began working at Vets4Pets at the start of 2018, where I was Practice Manager at Solihull. In 2019, I was given the opportunity to join the team here at Halesowen, and my time is now spent between the 2 pracitces.

I had spent the previous 11 years as a Qualified Veterinary Nurse. My main passion within this profession has always been for patient and client care, I now have the chance to really give the best care to clients as well as their pets, and still get to help nurse when needed.

I currently have 4 cats, all but one are hand reared rescues that came to my place of work. You will see me around the practice, so I look forward to meeting you and your pets!

I started working for Vets4Pets in November 2018 as a Client Care Advisor and moved to the role of Senior Advisor in January 2020. Working in the practice is very different to my previous roles where I spent 20 years working in the hospitality, catering and entertainment industries. I love being part of the team here in Halesowen, meeting all the clients and their pets. It’s so nice to see familiar faces and watching the animals grow and develop.

I’ve had lots of pets over the years from cats to chickens. Currently I have Monty – a charismatic wire fox haired terrier who likes to keep me on my toes.

Looking forward to meeting you in the practice soon.

I first joined Halesowen Vet4Pets in 2020 after moving over from the West Bromwich branch. The team here is amazing which makes working here even more enjoyable!

It’s so lovely to meet owners and their beloved pets each day and to hear many stories of mayhem and mischief.

I have two rescue cats called Dottie and Rupert (mother and son) who we rescued pretty much straight after Dottie gave birth, therefore we were lucky in being able to raise Rupert from a tiny baby!

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with friends and family and going on weekends away.

I have worked at the practice since the start of 2021 when I moved from Cornwall to Birmingham, and have enjoyed every day since. The day to day always keeps you on your toes, and you never know who you’re going to meet. I have always loved working with animals, and my previous experience has been in Pets at Home and also as a dog groomer.

My own pet is a sassy corn snake called Meringue, and in my spare time I’m either playing PC games or painting Warhammer.
