Meet the team
I've been with Vets4pets since January 2015 and senior nurse since March 2015. During that time I've had the privilege to work with some great nurses, ancillary staff and vets. I have been involved in the training of several student nurses and supporting new team members, both recently qualified and "old" hands.
I was christened "work mum" because I can’t help but look after my team. But, in 2020 I became a mum for the first time and having had some time off being back at work has refreshed my love of the job and my team, even though things are a little strange at the moment.
At home I have the best labrador, Dora, who occasionally comes to work with me. I also have 3 cats, Ru, Oscar and Bella. In my spare time I am involved in running the entertainment section of Honley Agricultural Show and a family run christmas organisation called Santa's Seniors.
Hi my name is Gemma. I am a qualified Veterinary Nurse. I have been nursing since 2000 and qualified in 2004. I lived and worked in Australia for 5 years and have been back in England since 2009. I have been working for Vets4Pets since 2012 in different surgeries.
I have 2 daughters (Jessica and Charlotte) who keep me busy when I’m not at work. I have 2 cats (Cida and Bagel) and a Goldfish (Killer).
I have been in practice for 8 years and qualified in 2016. During my time in practice I have worked as a senior nurse at a branch and in an orthopaedic referral centre. I love the variety that being in general practice brings and love talking to clients about how to keep their pet fit and well. I live in Mytholmroyd with my husband, little girl and our two crossbreed dogs, Molly and Babs. I love going for walks, doing craft projects and spending time with my family.
My name is Joe Macleod. I have worked at the practice for 5 years
I started out volunteering once a week here. I then progressed onto becoming a VCA and now have just come to the end of my Veterinary Nursing training.
I have complete animal studies since leaving school studying animal management and zoology and then chose to go down the path of Veterinary Nursing.
Hi, I’m Robert the Practice Manager. I have a history of business and people management though this is my first venture into the veterinary world! I am loving my time here with the team at Huddersfield Vets4Pets getting to meet all of our lovely clients and their beautiful pets.
In my spare time you will either find me snuggled on the sofa with my cat, Toby the British Blue or out walking through the woods with the family’s newest addition, the fluffy Labradoodle Oscar.
I look forward to welcoming you into our practice on your next visit.
My name is Lorna, my position is Practice Administrator. I have worked for Vets4Pets since November 2018. My role is varied and no two days are ever the same but I thoroughly enjoy my job and how different my work days can be!
Seeing patients grow, develop and gain their own personality is something I love to see!
I like building good relationships with clients and creating a positive experience to all.
In my spare time I take pleasure spending time with my family and creating special memories with my fiancé and step son.
In our home we have a Royal Python Snake named Shakira and two Cats Nala and Cleo.
