We are now open on alternative Sundays, please contact the practice to find out more.
Thank you for your interest in our practice.
Our patients are at the heart of every decision we make and due to a temporary reduction in our clinical team, we have taken the decision in the short term to implement a waiting list for new clients to join our practice. This decision doesn’t come lightly however is needed to ensure that we protect the integrity of our service and can continue to deliver the highest standard of veterinary care for our existing patients. We continue to ask for patience and understanding towards our team in practice. Visit our Facebook page to stay informed about any further changes at our practice.

Laura Smart
Veterinary Surgeon
VetMB BA PgC (FVS) MRCVS

Growing up with two rescue cats, Charlie and Lola, Nikkita has always had a bias towards all things feline. She currently owns Mishka the guinea pig and little Syrian hamster Luci and is looking forward to adding more fur babies to the family.
Nikkita's favourite part of the day is meeting clients and bonding over their mutual favourite subject, their beloved pet. Nikkita also likes the variety her day to day duties involve and using her love for animals along with veterinary knowledge and skills to help make them feel better. Nikkita is developing her professional veterinary interests in feline medicine and ophthalmology.
Nikkita’s goal is to bring a passionate, friendly and approachable service to every client that she meets and offer support so their animal can have the best care.

Sarah Scott
Practice Partner & Veterinary Nurse
RVN

Claire is our lovely Head Nurse, having joined the practice in 2015, and qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2007. She works closely with Chris and Sarah to ensure that our patients receive the very best nursing care. Claire absolutely loves her role within our practice, assisting our clients and patients and developing our nursing team. Claire really enjoys the relationships that we develop with clients and really feels that our close knit team are very much a second family. As well as regularly assessing and reviewing our nursing protocols Claire is also involved in nurse training, not only for our practice but also for the profession across England. Claire has a real passion for nursing rabbits and client support/education, and gained the City and Guild Nursing of Exotic Species Certificate in 2009. Further to this Claire also lectures to Veterinary Nurses across the country on rabbit health and welfare issues. In her spare time Claire is also editor of Rabbiting On, the Rabbit Welfare Association and Fund magazine! Naturally Claire loves rabbits and has two very spoilt rescue rabbits at home. Claire also loves dogs, who doesn't right, and has two gorgeous black Labradors at home, along with a wonderful son and her almost equally wonderful and definitely very understanding husband!

Nicole has really enjoyed getting to know our clients and patients many of who she has known since puppyhood and kittenhood. She is responsible for running our in house lab and helps Sarah to keep our Facebook page updated. Nicole also enjoys running our annual charity dog show and often ropes her own mum in to be our Judge! Since qualifying as a Registered Veterinary Nurse Nicole has developed a special interest in weight management, and with the support of our other qualified nurses she runs our Pet Slimmer Club. Nicole LOVES dogs, she has 7 dogs at home (yes, you read that right 7!!) and not forgetting her group of guinea pigs and pet chickens!

Katie has developed a keen interest in exotics, especially reptiles, and having already completed the Advanced Programme Veterinary Nursing of Reptiles & Amphibians, she is hoping to gain further qualifications in this field. Katie has a real passion for inpatient care and making sure that all our patients needs are met and they are given plenty of tlc. Cherie joined our practice in 2021, having had a 19 year long career in the classroom, she wanted to find a way to work with both people and pets, so felt this was the perfect role for her. Cherie quickly found that loves working as a receptionist with our practice and soon felt part of our wonderful team. She particular enjoys meeting our clients and pets, and the family feel that comes with getting to know everyone. In her spare time Cherie enjoys walking, cooking wonderful spreads and baking treats.
