Meet the team
I graduated in India in 1998 and worked for a UK based charity for a few years. I came to the UK in 2006 and gained my RCVS qualification. I have since worked as a small animal vet in Devon, London and Australia. In 2011 Annemiek & I moved back to the UK and settled down. I joined the Companion Care surgery in Park Gate and Vets4Pets two years later. When the opportunity came along to open our own surgery very close to home we set up the practice in New Milton. As a vet I have a special interest in dentistry and orthopaedic surgery. Outside work our twins keep me on my toes and we have a cat called Tommy. I enjoy reading, music and a bit of (recreational) football.
I am originally from a small town in The Netherlands and have wanted to be a vet for as long as I can remember! I feel very privileged having been able to pursue my childhood dream to become a vet and to look after your furry friends. After graduating in 2004 I started out as a vet in mixed practice. I now solely concentrate on small animals and have a special interest in internal medicine, soft tissue surgery and cardiology. Kevin and I Joined Vets4Pets in 2013 and set up the New Milton surgery in 2016. We twins called Oliver and Flynn, and a rescue cat called Tommy. They keep us busy outside work and whatever time is left I spend enjoying the great outdoors, pottering in the garden and spending time with friends.
Head Veterinary nurse
I started my veterinary nursing career in 2001 and I qualified in 2006 on the Isle of Wight.
I’ve always wanted to work with animals and I have wanted to be a veterinary nurse since I was 10 years old.
My favourite part of my job is being in the operating theatre and doing anaesthesia.
I qualified from University of Bristol in 2020 and trained at multiple veterinary practices in Merseyside and Bristol.
For as long as I can remember I have wanted to work with animals. When I discovered veterinary nursing I knew that it was the job for me!
My favourite parts of being an RVN are nursing critically ill patients, giving them comfort (and a few tummy tickles!) to make them feel better when they are staying in hospital with us.
I've always wanted to work with animals, especially dogs. I started working at Vets4Pets New Milton as a Client Care Advisor and the more I helped the vets and nursing staff the more I enjoyed it and wanted to become a nurse myself. My love is looking after our in patients and doing my best to make all our fluffy friends feel as safe and happy as possible. I also have two dogs and a pony who I love to spend my spare time with.
With a mixed background of animal care diplomas and a degree in Audiology, I have a special interest in all types of animals and ears!! Alongside enjoying working at Vets4Pets, I own an educational animal science display & animal assisted therapy business.
Along with my husband, we keep a large variety of creatures from avian, reptile, amphibian & invertebrates, plus our three gorgeous ponies and three fun poodles ‘Milo, Saffron & Quest’!
In my occasional spare time, I love to spend time with the animals, dog training, flyball, scent work, playing music, camping, photography & socialising with friends.
With having family pets my whole life, I could never imagine working without them. From previously working away and at home with the equine industry, it is now lovely working at Vets4Pets and being a part of the team to help animals get better.
In my spare time I train and compete my horse Corle in Dressage, and love going for long walks with my miniature dachshund Sweetie.
I have been working at Vet4pets New Milton since December 2019 as a Receptionist and love meeting all the pets and their owners.
In my spare time I love spending time with my Jack Russell Nelson, my chickens and my four very naughty Pygmy goats.
I joined New Milton Vets4Pets in summer 2020 and love working here with everyone’s great pets. All of my previous pets have been stray/rescues so I especially like to meet the rescues that come in and enjoy listening to their re-homing stories.
I don’t currently have any pets at the moment since losing our beloved dog Mylo but I’m hopeful I’ll be able to give another rescue a loving home in the future.
