Meet the team

Hatti qualified from Liverpool University with a distinction in 2008, and worked in mixed practice in England before moving to Northern Ireland in 2001. She has worked in dedicated small animal practice for the last five years and thoroughly enjoys meeting pets of all shapes and sizes and getting to know them and their owners.
Hatti has a particular interest in small animal internal medicine and dermatology. She is also passionate about building a fantastic team at Vets4Pets Newtownards, ensuring you and your pets receive a top class service every time you visit us in our brand new, purpose designed practice.
When Hatti's not working, she has two Labradoodles called Blossom and Bella, a cat called Blake, 2 toddlers and a husband to keep her busy!

Originally hailing from Northern Ireland, Colin qualified from the University of Glasgow in 2010. He then worked in small animal practices in England until 2020, when decided to return home and join the team at Vets4Pets Newtownards! Colin spent several years working for a busy charity hospital in Leicester where he was exposed to a very high surgical case load and developed a passion for surgery, particularly orthopaedics. Colin has also recently completed a post-graduate surgery qualification. Outside of work Colin likes to keep active and can often be found cycling up a mountain… Preferably somewhere sunny!
We are delighted to have Colin join our team here at Vets4Pets Newtownards and he looks forward to meeting all of our existing and future patients!

After 7 years working as an Animal Nursing Auxiliary, Laura enrolled in Greenmount College and gained her Veterinary Nursing qualifications in 2015.
Laura has a particular interest in medical nursing and is determined to make all her patients feel loved and nurtured. Laura is also a qualified Pet Health Counsellor and runs her own clinics, giving specialist advice.
Laura has a dog called Mitch, a colourful little character with the ability to brighten anyone's day and a cat called Mr Josh . Laura is also a keen rider and has her own horses to keep her busy outside of work!

Originally from the Wirral, Laura studied Performing Arts at University, and after a couple of appearances on Emmerdale as a nurse, decided to pursue the career officially! She completed her Animal Nursing Assistant diploma in 2016 and has been with Vets4Pets Newtownards since the practice opened.
Laura is now in her second year of the Veterinary Nursing course at CAFRE Greenmount College and is looking forward to being fully qualified and being able to take a break from further education for a while! She has a particular interest in Theatre Nursing and Wound Management.
Outside of work, Frank & Carlos; the feline tearaways, keep Laura on her toes. They're a rowdy pair of brothers that like to zoom around the house but she wouldn't have them any other way.

Kat joined us in 2019 as our full-time Client Care Advisor and main point of contact in reception. Kat previously worked in the funeral industry but her love of animals made her decide to change careers and enter the veterinary world! She also loves to muck in and assist with the animals in our care when she gets the chance! Kat is a true dog lover and has 2 black Labradors called Jet and Hollie, and a bouncy Golden Retriever pup called Charlie.
Kat looks forward to welcoming clients and patients, existing and new, to our modern purpose designed practice!

Rachel joined us in September 2019, as part of her Greenmount course to become an ANA. Rachel has been a valuable asset to the team and has a promising career as a Veterinary Nurse ahead of her. Rachel lives on a farm and has all sorts of pets from cows to horses and dogs and cats.

Melissa is the most recent Client Care Advisor to join us in October 2020. Melissa previously worked in the optical industry but then decided that her love of animals would eventually bring her to us. At home she has a daughter and a husband, along with a whippet called Moe to keep her busy on her days off.
Melissa loves all animals, big and small and welcomes everyone into the practice with a smile.
Vets4Pets Newtownards is committed to bringing you affordable, high quality care via a modern, well equipped practice, including a lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray and ultrasound. Plus, on site car parking too!
