Advanced services
We have invested considerably in our team and kit to make a number of advanced services available to our clients. We also accept referrals from other veterinary practices.
Orthopaedics
Our veterinary team have undertaken advanced training to allow us to perform orthopaedic surgery in our practice. If your pet develops an abnormality involving their skeleton or joints, such as elbow dysplasia, a patella (kneecap) that gets stuck, or a torn cruciate ligament, an orthopaedic procedure may help them.

Ultrasound
We are pleased to be able to offer ultrasound scanning in practice, which is a painless way to look inside your pet’s body to find out what’s going on.

Dr Andre Escudeiro Vieites
Veterinary Surgeon
PgC(SAS) GPCert(SAS) GP AdvCert (SAOS) MRCVS
Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery
Andres is the clinical lead and Partner at our Quinton and Selly Oak practices. Since founding our Quinton surgery in 2011, he has dedicated his career to providing the highest standard of surgical intervention for the pets of Birmingham.
He holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Small Animal Surgery and is an RCVS Recognised Advanced Practitioner, a title that reflects his high level of expertise and commitment to his craft. Having recently achieved an Advanced Certificate in Orthopaedic Surgery, Andres offers specialized care in complex bone and joint procedures, alongside his interests in cardiology and ultrasound.
Outside of the scrub suite, Andres’ life is happily chaotic. What started as a one-year adventure from overseas in 2002 became a permanent home. He now shares his life with Gema, their two children, and a famously specific number of pets: A dog and two-and-three-quarter cats.
Nadia joined the practice in 2016, having graduated from Cambridge University in 2012. While she enjoys all aspects of general practice, Nadia is currently working towards her Postgraduate Certificate in Small Animal Medicine, reflecting her commitment to providing the highest standard of clinical care. She is particularly passionate about building long-term relationships with her clients and their pets.
At home, Nadia spends her time with her young family and her two pets, Severus the cat and Aberforth the Shih Tzu-cross.
Natalie has been a dedicated member of the veterinary profession since 2000, qualifying as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2011. Since joining the Quinton team in 2015, she has become an integral part of our clinical operations. Natalie has a particular passion for feline nursing and laboratory work, ensuring our feline patients receive expert care and our diagnostic testing is handled with precision.
Outside of the practice, Natalie is kept busy by her growing family (both human and furry!), which includes her horse and five beloved cats.
Gema moved to the UK in 2002 alongside her husband and business partner, Andre, shortly after qualifying as an International Executive Secretary. What began as a journey to improve her English evolved into a lifelong career in veterinary management. In 2011, Gema and Andre combined their skills to open Quinton Vets for Pets, followed by Selly Oak Vets for Pets just four years later. As Practice Manager for both sites, Gema is the heartbeat of the business, ensuring everything runs smoothly for our team and our patients. Outside of work, Gema is a busy mum to two wonderful children and shares her home with a dog and three cats
Urszula graduated from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences in 2011 and has been a cornerstone of the Selly Oak and Quinton Vets4Pets team since 2017. With a dedicated passion for feline health, Urszula achieved her General Practitioner Certificate in Feline Medicine in early 2026. While she excels in all aspects of primary care, she has a particular interest in soft tissue surgery and complex feline cases.
At home, Urszula is a devoted "cat mom" to her two beautiful Ragdolls, Friday and Heidi. When she isn't in the theatre or consultation room, she enjoys globetrotting with her husband and son, Alexander, hitting the gym, or sharpening her language skills on Duolingo.
Elisa joined our team after completing her veterinary studies at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Seeking to broaden her clinical expertise, she moved to the UK to immerse herself in a new professional environment.
Having grown up on a dairy farm, Elisa’s passion for animal welfare is rooted in her childhood. This deep appreciation for rural life and livestock continues to drive her dedication to her patients today. When she isn't at the clinic, Elisa stays connected to her roots—most notably through her bond with Nena, her potato-loving cow!
Anna joined our team following her graduation in Barcelona, bringing with her a fresh perspective and a deep-seated passion for preventative pet health. She prides herself on providing compassionate care tailored to each animal's needs. As a proud Labrador owner herself, Anna treats every patient with the same love and devotion she gives her own best friend.
Irene joined our clinical team in May 2023, bringing a wealth of international experience from her native Spain. Since arriving in the UK, she has developed a keen clinical interest in Diagnostic Imaging, becoming a vital part of our internal medicine capabilities. To further support our patients, Irene has recently enrolled in a formal Postgraduate Certificate in Imaging, ensuring she remains at the forefront of the latest scanning and radiographic techniques.
We are thrilled to introduce Kat, a highly experienced Veterinary Surgeon who joined the Quinton and Selly Oak Vets for Pets family in 2025.
Kat’s journey into veterinary medicine is a true "full circle" story. Though she grew up in the UK immersed in the world of agriculture within a sheep farming family, she took her studies across the globe to sharpen her skills. She graduated from the University of Sydney in Australia, bringing a wealth of international perspective and clinical expertise back home to our local community.
We are delighted to introduce Ioana, a passionate and dedicated surgeon who joined the Quinton and Selly Oak Vets for Pets team in July 2025.
Ioana’s primary professional passion lies in the operating theatre. She has a natural affinity for surgery and is currently furthering her expertise by working towards her Postgraduate Certificate in Small Animal Surgery. Her commitment to advanced surgical techniques ensures that our patients receive the highest standard of care when they need it most.
Tracey joined the professional register in 2020 and has since become an integral part of our nursing team. While she is a highly skilled Certificate Holder in Surgical Nursing, Tracey’s true passion lies in connecting with our clients and their companions. She particularly shines in our Weight Management Clinics, where she finds it incredibly rewarding to support patients on their health journeys and watch their unique personalities blossom. At home, Tracey is kept busy by her own "fur-family" of two cats and two dogs.
Ellie has been a familiar face at Vets4Pets since 2018, but her journey in veterinary medicine began over a decade ago in 2014. As our Deputy Practice Manager at Selly Oak, she keeps the wheels turning, ensuring both our patients and our staff are well looked after.
You’ll also spot Ellie’s friendly face over at Quinton Vets4Pets, where she steps in to support the nursing team whenever help is needed. She’s a true team player with a wealth of clinical knowledge!
If you’ve visited us since 2021, you’ll likely recognise Jordan! After three years of rigorous training at the practice, Jordan qualified as an RVN in April 2024. Jordan loves the variety of veterinary nursing, ensuring every pet feels safe and loved during their stay with us.
Outside of the clinic, Jordan is kept on their toes by a mischievous Miniature Dachshund named Pepsi—who definitely rules the roost at home!

Jamie joined the Selly Oak and Quinton Vets4Pets team three years ago, completing his training with us before qualifying as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in August 2024. Jamie is passionate about providing high-quality clinical care to all our patients. At home, he is kept busy by his crossbreed, Belle, and a spunky tabby kitten named Beanie.
Amber Baker
Student Veterinary Nurse
We are excited to welcome Kelly to the Quinton and Selly Oak Vets for Pets team! Kelly joined us at the beginning of 2026, bringing a wealth of experience and a truly impressive clinical background to our nursing department.
Kelly graduated as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2015, and over the past decade, she has built an incredibly diverse and well-rounded career. Her journey has taken her through small animal practices, but she also brings specialized knowledge from her time working in:
-
Referral Centres: Handling complex, high-intensity cases alongside specialists.
-
Charity Hospitals: Providing vital, compassionate care to animals in need.
-
The Zoo: Gaining unique and rare experience with exotic species
When Kelly isn't caring for our patients, she stays busy with a mix of high-energy and creative pursuits.
-
Her Special Bond: Kelly is the devoted owner of Leo, a cat she hand-reared herself—a true testament to her nurturing spirit and lifelong dedication to nursing.
-
Hobbies: To keep life balanced, she is a regular at CrossFit and an avid baker (though we imagine the CrossFit helps offset all those treats!).
With over ten years of expertise spanning from zoo animals to surgical referrals, Kelly is a versatile and highly skilled advocate for your pets. We are so lucky to have her experience and energy in our practice!
