Veterinary Surgeon and Joint Venture Partner

Hi I’m Robin and the practice owner, I graduated from The Royal Veterinary College in 2001. Having spent the majority of my career in Lancashire, I settled in Accrington in 2006. Over the years I have developed a keen interest in surgery and regularly operate on orthopaedic and more advanced soft tissue cases. I am studying towards the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons accredited Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (General Surgery).

In my spare time I likes to spend time with my family, four dogs, three cats and a menagerie of small furries. I also have an unhealthy interest in Fast Ford cars.

Veterinary Surgeon

Hi I'm Becky and I'm one of the vets at Accrington Vets4Pets and I also act as Clinical Lead. I graduated in 2011 from the University of Liverpool with distinction and have worked as a small animal vet since. I have an interest in surgery and I am currently working towards my CertAVP, an advanced certificate in small animal surgery. I also have an interest in rabbits, guinea pigs and other small animals as well as the usual dogs and cats! At home I have three very spoilt cats and a dog, and enjoy days out hiking in the country in my spare time and spending time with family, friends and our pets.

Practice Manager

Hi I'm Jenny the Practice Manager. I've worked in the veterinary industry for the last 18 years. I started off nursing in a private practice for many years before going off on maternity leave in 2009. On my return I started as Branch Co-ordinator as I have a keen interest in client care and management. In 2016 I then moved to Vets4Pets where I took the role as Practice Manager.

I thoroughly enjoy all aspects of my job and look forward to the new challenges ahead. In my spare time I spend my time with my family as well as my family of pets all collected through the job over the years!

Registered Veterinary Nurse

Hello, my name is Jayne and I am one of the registered veterinary nurses here at Accrington vets4pets. I first joined Vets4Pets in 2011 and have worked in a few of our vets4pets practices; I started working at Accrington in October 2016. I officially qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in February 2013 and have since gone on to progress my career by completing a diabetic advisors course, pet health counsellor course, diploma in higher education of clinical veterinary nursing and I'm currently awaiting my results to obtain the diploma in advanced veterinary nursing award.

My partner and myself have many pets between us including: a British bulldog called Bertha who is 14months old, Scamp a Chihuahua cross who is 1 and half, Winston a boxer who is nearly 12, Charlie a chocolate Labrador who is 13, Lemmy our domestic short haired cat who is nearly 2, Purdy our other domestic short haired cat who is nearly 4, Guff our outdoor cat who is pushing 12, Chichi and Chico are chinchillas who are 1, Sid is our guinea pig who is nearly 2, Lola my domestic rabbit who is 6 and half and Gerry who is a 2 year old gerbil. I also have a 13 year old chocolate Labrador called Ozzy , a 10 year old shepherd cross called Lilly and 2 cats called prince and Tom who are 2 who are both mine and my parents pets. Unfortunately I couldn't take them with me when I left home but still see them often.

Outside of work, a lot of my time goes into looking after all my pets! If I do get a spare moment I enjoy seeing my family and I'm currently preparing to be a new mum which is super exciting!

Registered Veterinary Nurse

Hi I'm Paula; I've been in the veterinary profession since 1998! I qualified as a veterinary nurse way back in 2000. Since I qualified I have had various roles as a veterinary nurse. I worked as a locum veterinary nurse for 5 years, working all over the UK in referral centres, emergency and critical care hospitals and smaller rural practices. I then lectured in veterinary nursing for a short while, whilst I completed my 7307 teaching qualification. Before deciding to head back to familiar ground and went back into practice where I joined Vets4pets Bury; there I became Head veterinary nurse for a further 8 years. During this time I became a clinical coach and was responsible for training student veterinary nurses. I also gained my Level 4 qualification in First line management.

I came out of practice for a few years when I had my son, but I decided to return to veterinary nursing and joined Vets4pets Accrington in 2016. This 'second wind' in veterinary nursing has re ignited my passion for nursing. I enjoy all aspects of nursing and I find that I couldn't be part of a better team and practice, than at Accrington Vets4pets. I look forward to meeting your furry family members!
