Vets4Pets Marlborough

Meet the team

Karien V4P Marlborough.png

Karien White

Owner & Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated in 2007 from the University of Pretoria, Onderstepoort.

I started my career as a small animal vet (having gained some experience in handling and treating some exotic species like penguins, seabirds, owls and parrots) at a lovely clinic by the sea in South Africa.  I moved to the UK in 2008.

Since then I have been practicing as a small animal vet both full and part time.

I truly love every aspect of being a vet and I have a strong interest in general surgery and dermatology.

I live with my husband and we have 2 young boys. We have a dog, 2 cats, 5 bunnies, a tortoise and at the moment an African Grey parrot. As a family we enjoy the outdoors and good food.

Chloe Chapple

Owner and Head Veterinary Nurse

My name is Chloe and I qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in October 2014.

I enjoy all aspects of my role as veterinary nurse and have just taken on many more responsibilities in becoming head nurse and JVP.

I am the proud owner of eight dogs, of varying breeds and sizes, and four Indian runner ducks.

Outside of work I spend time with my fiance and enjoy life in the countryside; beating and picking up on shoots, as well as good food and socialising with friends.

Trowbridge Vets4Pets Mark

Mark Riggs

Owner & Veterinary Surgeon

I'm a straight forward sort of chap with a passion for caring for animals. I love nothing better than a good old chin wag about all things pet! I qualified from The Royal Veterinary College in 2001 and have a wealth of experience with small animal 'vetting'.

I pride myself on good clinical standards bundled with great customer service. For me, the two go hand in hand. Offering a friendly, dependable service for pet owners to rely upon is what gets me out of bed in the morning...well that and my young family and two dogs 'Seamus' and 'Tallulah'.

In my spare time I like nothing better than spending time with my wife Vicky and son Caleb. I can often be found at the Rec supporting my beloved Bath Rugby or out in the country side walking to a tucked away pub for a bite to eat and a pint to drink, preferably with family, friends and dogs for company!

Trowbridge Vets4Pets Matthew

Matthew Plummer

Owner & Veterinary Surgeon

I grew up just south of Bath and went to Vet School at Bristol, where I graduated as a vet nearly 12 years ago. I have a strong family farming background and have been a lover of animals for as long as I can remember.

When the chance came to work with my long term friend Mark, I couldn’t resist, it was the opportunity of a lifetime - I really enjoy owning and running our own clinics. For the first time in my veterinary career I am truly free to implement the standards of client and pet care I always wanted to.

In my spare time I am a keen Bath Rugby supporter and enjoy spending time at home with my partner and young family. Now that the rugby boots have been hung up for good I enjoy gardening and DIY.

I really hope to see you at the clinic soon, where you will be assured to receive a warm and personal welcome.

Practice Manager

Amber is our practice manager and works with Matt and Mark across their five practices.

She has been with us here in Marlborough since May 2016. She is also a qualified veterinary nurse.

At home she enjoys spending time with her small dog, Pickle (pictured), two cats, two rabbits and three horses!

Jade V4P Marlborough.png

Student Veterinary Nurse

My name is Jade, I am the Student Veterinary Nurse at Vets4Pets Marlborough. I started here in March, after previously working in a practice in Cirencester for 18 months as a Veterinary Care Assistant, I joined here to pursue my Veterinary Nurse training. I live in Wootton Bassett with my partner. I have a Boxer called Bali and my partner has a Chow Chow called Bonsai, we have two cats, two guinea pigs, 3 tortoises and I have recently taken home a bearded dragon that was brought in as a stray called Bruce. I mainly spend my spare time walking the dogs, and with my other animals. When I am not with the animals I enjoy spending my time with family and friends, having meals out and going to the cinema.
