Vets4Pets Marlborough

Meet the team

Trowbridge Vets4Pets Mark

Mark Riggs

Owner & Veterinary Surgeon

I'm a straight forward sort of chap with a passion for caring for animals. I love nothing better than a good old chin wag about all things pet! I qualified from The Royal Veterinary College in 2001 and have a wealth of experience with small animal 'vetting'.

I pride myself on good clinical standards bundled with great customer service. For me, the two go hand in hand. Offering a friendly, dependable service for pet owners to rely upon is what gets me out of bed in the morning...well that and my young family and two dogs 'Seamus' and 'Tallulah'.

In my spare time I like nothing better than spending time with my wife Vicky and son Caleb. I can often be found at the Rec supporting my beloved Bath Rugby or out in the country side walking to a tucked away pub for a bite to eat and a pint to drink, preferably with family, friends and dogs for company!

Trowbridge Vets4Pets Matthew

Matthew Plummer

Owner & Veterinary Surgeon

I grew up just south of Bath and went to Vet School at Bristol, where I graduated as a vet nearly 12 years ago. I have a strong family farming background and have been a lover of animals for as long as I can remember.

When the chance came to work with my long term friend Mark, I couldn’t resist, it was the opportunity of a lifetime - I really enjoy owning and running our own clinics. For the first time in my veterinary career I am truly free to implement the standards of client and pet care I always wanted to.

In my spare time I am a keen Bath Rugby supporter and enjoy spending time at home with my partner and young family. Now that the rugby boots have been hung up for good I enjoy gardening and DIY.

I really hope to see you at the clinic soon, where you will be assured to receive a warm and personal welcome.

Karien White

Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated in 2007 from the University of Pretoria, Onderstepoort.

I started my career as a small animal vet (having gained some experience in handling and treating some exotic species like penguins, seabirds, owls and parrots) at a lovely clinic by the sea in South Africa.  I moved to the UK in 2008.

Since then I have been practicing as a small animal vet both full and part time.

I truly love every aspect of being a vet and I have a strong interest in general surgery and dermatology.

I live with my husband and we have 2 young boys. We have a dog, 2 cats, 5 bunnies, a tortoise and at the moment an African Grey parrot. As a family we enjoy the outdoors and good food.

Dorit Joyce
Dr med vet MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

My Border Collie Jack and I are very much looking forward to our new position with Vet4Pets in Marlborough!

I have been living and working as a Vet in different parts of this beautiful county of Wiltshire for more than 16 years. Besides my Veterinary Degree I hold the General Practitioner Certificates in Small Animal Practice and Equine Practice. I particularly enjoy the variety and challenges of modern Small Animal Practice with all aspects of first opinion medicine and surgery.

I cannot wait to meet pets and people from Marlborough and beyond!
