Meet the team

I qualified from the University of Nottingham and began working at Liverpool Vets4Pets in June 2015. I was excited to join the team having previously undertaken placements here as a student, and have since enjoyed getting to know all of our lovely clients and their pets. I have always had a keen interest in small animal practice, particularly in soft tissue surgery and ophthalmology. At home I have a naughty tortie cat called Chihiro.

I qualified in 2015 in Warsaw University of Life Sciences in Poland. I had worked in Poland for three years before I moved to UK to expand my knowledge and experience. I have initially completed a 1.5 year internship in referral veterinary hospital to than transfer again to 1st opinion practice environment. I find working for Vets4Pets challenging, but also extremely interesting with the variety of the patients we see. Privately, I am a passionate outdoor person - I enjoy everything which involves camping, hiking, sailing, or just roaming around with my backpack.

I studied at the University of Glasgow Vet school and graduated in 2010. Since that time I have been working in North-West England, especially in the Merseyside area. At home I have a rescue (and sometimes bad-tempered) cat called Dottie, whom I rescued from my first practice. In 2021 I also took on a stray tortoise from a previous practice and we called her Eris.

Hi, I'm Andre, one of the vets at Old Swan. I qualified from the University of Liverpool in 2022 and joined the vet team after having worked as a receptionist at the practice during my studies.
I'm looking forward to seeing all our regular clients along with welcoming new ones in my new capacity as a Surgeon. I also speak Czech and am excited to be able to offer myself as a Czech speaking veterinarian in the heart of Liverpool to those who need it.
I have keen interests in Emergency and Critical Care, Chronic Pain Management and Cytology.
I have had a whole host of pets since I was little and currently share my house with my cat Isa and my black Labrador Olive.

I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2002. Following that I took a break from nursing to go to university to study graphic design. I returned to nursing in 2016 and before joining the vets4pets team in August 2017, I volunteered as a Veterinary Nurse at the PDSA for 8 months. I really enjoy working at Vets4Pets Old Swan, we have a lovely, friendly team here and wonderful clients and patients. I love looking after all the animals that come in to our care at the surgery and meeting our clients with their pets in our nurse clinics. At home I have have two rescue cats called Missy and Zelda and a bearded dragon called Brian. When I am not at Vets4Pets I am usually working at home as a freelance graphic designer and taking my two sons freerunning.

I have been qualified as an RVN since 2008. I started at Old Swan Vets4Pets in March 2019 as a transfer the Speke branch where I started in 2015. My main interests are wound care and bandaging. My favourite patients are cats.

I graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2017 with a degree in Veterinary Nursing.
I have been at Old Swan Vets4Pets since I was 6 months qualified. I thoroughly enjoy working at this practice and get along well with the team as they are more like my family.
My favourite part of the job is meeting the lovely owners and creating a bond with the owners and their pets through our nurse consultations. I have 2 black and white rescue cats called Cosmo and Cleo who I adore. I also have a bunny who lives indoors called Dexter. I have a keen interest in rabbits and love to be involved with their cases. I love expanding my knowledge of animals through continued professional development.
In my spare time I like to practice my make-up skills and attend various gigs as I also love live music.

I first started working for Vets4Pets as a student and traveled around other practices to gain more experience before coming back to Old Swan as a registered nurse. I have been qualified since 2017, I have a keen interest in anaesthesia and surgery and would hope to complete a certificate in this soon. I love all animals but I especially love bigger dogs as they are the same height as me.

I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2002 and have since worked in Liverpool and around the North West. I joined Vets4Pets in 2013 and came to Old Swan in June 2019. I am delighted to be part of the friendly professional team here who all strive to give the best possible care to all of our patients. At home, I have two cats, Paddington and Pootle, who were rescued as kittens and a rescue rabbit called Hazel. Away from work, I volunteer with a charity which helps the dogs of homeless people, giving them basics such as food and bedding but also veterinary care when needed. I am also involved in an arts organisation which creates public and community arts events and I have had my own artworks displayed in various cities throughout the country.

I wanted to be a vet nurse from a very early age (7) after my cat was run over and was looked after by some amazing vet nurses, and this never wavered. As soon as I left school I was lucky enough to find a practice to train in.
I have now been nursing for over 30 years and still love it!!! My particular interest is consulting and preventative health care. I love helping people look after their pets to try to keep them healthy and happy.
I have a few pets of my own, a Boxer dog called Maddi who is 13 years old, 4 cats of varying ages Mikey, Smitt, Priddy and Alien, 2 rats Remy & Lilac who are nearly 2 years old and 8 free range guinea pigs!
I also volunteer with a couple of animal charities as I can help them with my nursing experience, but this is also why I have ended up with rats and guinea pigs!!!

Hi,
I’m Carmen, I am a newly qualified registered veterinary nurse and I’ve just completed the Fdsc Veterinary nursing degree at myerscough college.
I’ve been working in varies practices on placements since 2015 & I’ve always known I wanted to become a veterinary nurse since my little stray cat, called Gladys made his way into my life.
Sadly Gladys passed away in April 2021 but his joy being in my life, encourages me to see animals live a long, happy life.
I love meeting new animals on a daily & knowing I can give them the best health & welfare needed.
I find my job role so rewarding & enjoy all the puppy & kitten cuddles.
In my spare time I enjoy going the gym as it keeps my mind set motivated & body strong (for lifting up all those big fur babies)hiking, going away & seeing new places.

I first fell in love with animals from a young age, when my mum would only allow me to have a pet goldfish, therefore I would mind other peoples pets. I started working for Vets4Pets in Old Swan as a third year student and fell in love with the team and the practice. I have now been qualified for three years. I have keen interest in nurse clinics as I love to meet new animals that come into the practice. I am currently completing a certificate in this.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and going to the gym!

I started volunteering at Old Swan in 2018 and landed the role of Veterinary Care Assistant after a few months. I completed a level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in animal management a few years ago and have been able to put my knowledge from the course to use during my time at Old Swan.

I’m a 2nd year nursing student at a Myerscough college. I’ve been at old swan since September 2021.
I’m very passionate about all aspects of nursing and love learning new things every day in this industry.
In my spare time I spend time with my own animals Goose, my 5 month old kitten, Skye the springer spaniel, and Maya our oldest cat.
I also work part time alongside my degree at Dr.Martens.
I look forward to graduating and becoming a registered veterinary nurse.

I’m a 2nd year vet nurse student studying at Myerscough. I’ve been at the practice since 2019 when I started there as work experience and loved it that much stayed on to do my vet nursing training.
I’ve had a passion of animals all my life and a vet nurse dream since I was 4. I’ve worked in RSPCA and cat rescues gaining the experience and knowledge I’ve got today.
I’ve got a diva of a shih tzu called Mitzi who is 9 who is also my little best mate.
I’m excited to graduate next year and finally achieve my dream of becoming a veterinary nurse.

I'm currently a 1st year student veterinary nurse at old swan Vets4Pets. However I started at the practice doing work experience and loved it that much I stayed to carry out my nursing placements. I learn new things every day at the practice and look forward to expanding my knowledge further. I have a special love for rabbits. I have a beautiful rabbit called Bambi who is 7 years old.
I’m excited to graduate from Myerscough and start my nursing career as a registered veterinary nurse.

I have been working for Vets4Pets for 8 years. Previously I worked for over 30 years in retail and business management. It’s a really enjoyable job working with such a dedicated team and I get to meet lots of our patients as well, which is another aspect of the job I really enjoy. I have a cat called Miya and my son has 2 Rabbits called Peanut and Peppa . My eldest daughter has a Pug called Lilo who often comes to visit me. My youngest daughter has a Vizsla called Nala who loves coming to stay at our house. Here she is in the photo.

After working for the NHS for 10 years I fancied a change and applied for a job at Vets4Pets. I have always loved animals and have volunteered at the RSPCA in the past. Working at Vets4Pets is so much fun. Everyday is different and so interesting! We have a great team here and I love meeting all the different animals (especially the kittens!) . I live with my friend Jay and my 4 cats, Lotte, Elio, Sidney and Keanu. In my spare time I love watching films and going to pub quizzes!

I began volunteering with Vets4Pets in July 2018, I then secured a permanent position in my current roll as Client Care Advisor in November 2018. At home I have a lovely hamster, Ena, and two very noisy budgies, Luke and Leia. I have loved animals all my life, having had most pets known to man, so working here suits me just fine."

After finishing university I worked as a retail supervisor for 10 years. I’ve always loved animals so thought working for Vets4Pets would be lots of fun and it has been! I’ve really enjoyed all aspects of the job but mainly making friends with all the amazing pets we get to see at the practice.
I’ve learnt so much working here and I’m very proud to be part of such a great team!

Hi my name is Julie and I have been at Vets4pets since May 2021. I have a degree in Psychology and I am a qualified Psychodynamic Counsellor. I have worked with animals in the past and it was always something I wanted to go back to so working here is perfect for me as I get to meet all our lovely clients and their pets. I have an anti social cat of my own called Murphy who keeps me entertained and I like reading and watching crime dramas.

Hello, I'm Madeline, one of the client care advisors. You will find me at the clinic every Saturday - I am working here alongside studying Veterinary Medicine at the University of Liverpool. I love being able to work part time in a veterinary clinic where I get to learn so much that will help me in the future as a vet.
Outside of work i spend my time looking after my dog Emmett, who is a collie looking mix breed from Romania, my 60 year old Hermann's tortoise and my two rescue gerbils Willow and Audrey.
