After graduating in 2004 at the RVC, Gavin was employed at Springwell Veterinary Practice in Hertfordshire for seven years before opening Vets4Pets Southend in April 2012. Gavin opened the practice with only two receptionists and one nurse. The staffing has now grown to employ four vets, four receptionists and four full time nurses and a practice manager. Gavin has two beautiful daughters who he enjoys spending time with outside of work.

Elinor has visited many countries, starting in South America in her gap year before beginning her Veterinary training at the RVC in 2004. After graduating, Elinor has worked in the Southend area previously and then spent six and a half months travelling to south East Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Hawaii before coming back to sunny Southend and joining the Vets4Pets team in May 2014. Pets: Flint, a Leopard Gecko. Walter and Jessie, both Blue Tongue Skinks. A Corn snake called Pop, a Royal Python named Obelisk and a crazy Cat called Chewbacca !

Kamila joined the team in February 2017 from Poland after graduating in 2016. Kamila worked in an animal shelter in Gdansk for 6 months assisting in their neutering programme. She then spent time in Italy assisting a neurological team which she thoroughly enjoyed. Kamila now has a keen interest in Neurology along with Feline medicine. In her spare time, Kamila enjoys scuba diving, cooking, reading and spending time with her family. Kamila loves cuddling puppies and kittens and feels she was born to be a vet!

Hannah initially studied Bio-Veterinary Sciences at the University of Surrey before going on to complete her Veterinary Degree at the University of Bristol in 2018. After starting working with us in the summer of 2018, Hannah has gone on to adopt a cat brought into the practice as a stray, named Polly after her extra toes known as being Polydactyl! Outside of work Hannah enjoys exercise specifically running, going to Festivals and Travelling.

Charlotte graduated as a Veterinary Nurse in 2011. Since then Charlotte has worked at Earls Hall vets, Your vets and Companion Care. Charlotte has a keen interest in Exotics - she has recently completed her certificate in Exotics Nursing, Neonatal and Animal Behaviour. Charlotte enjoys going to the cinema, going to the gym, reading and socialising with friends. Pets: Belle – Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, 2 cats called Patch and Tammy, and a lovely flock of chickens!

Nikki enjoys travelling and attending music festivals and concerts in her own time.

She has special certificates in Surgical, Exotic and Emergency and Critical Care nursing and enjoys working in these areas. Outside of work Eve works with charities rescuing sick and injured Hedgehogs and helping to care for them.

Megan studied Veterinary Nursing at Nottingham Trent University and graduated in 2018, before she joined our team that summer. In her first 2 years working with us she completed her top up degree part time whilst working and graduated from this additional study in June 2020. She spends time teaching our Student Nurses and college students and find this aspect of the nursing profession particularly rewarding. In her own time she enjoys all things Disney ! Including attending Disney events here in the UK and visiting the Disney parks around the globe, she one day hopes to have visited all 6 of them !

Lisa started with the practice as a work placement student and has since returned as a Nursing assistant and progressed to begin studying as a Student Veterinary Nurse. Lisa is completing her studies with Writtle College and is looking forward to qualifying. She enjoys surgical nursing the most - specifically orthopaedic surgeries. At home she has a pet dog, 2 rabbits and a tortoise!

Tilly joined our team in 2018 undertaking her work placement for her college course studying Animal Management and in 2019 she permanently joined our team as a Receptionist. She has two cats called Stanley and Olive, and a dog called Flash. She also has a friendly Bearded dragon called Penny. In her own time she enjoys visiting theme parks, spending time with her family and friends and taking her dog for lovely long walks along the beach!

Hollie studied Animal Management at South Essex College which helped her gain her knowledge and passion of working with animals. She started her placement with us in 2018 and began her Receptionist role in May 2019. She has two pets - a cat and a dog and in her own time enjoys watching films, painting and socialising with her friends.
