Meet the team
Favourite animal and why?
Sorry can't really decide, love them all but if my life depended on it, probably cats.
What pets do you have and what are their names?
2 cats, Billie Whizz and Stompy (who was born blind) and 2 horses, Sam and Barmy Barnie.
What is the best pet's name you have ever come across?
A snake called "For Goodness".
What is your favourite famous animal?
On TV, the talking horse Mr. Ed (showing my age there), in real life, the showjumper Ftot du Chateau.
What is the best thing about working for Vets4Pets?
Being given support from a friendly large organisation but also given the freedom to do what we feel is best for the client and their pet.
I’m currently studying BSc (Hons) Veterinary Nursing and Practice Management at Harper Adams University but doing my practical training here at Vets4Pets Ilkeston. I’m enjoying all aspects of the job but in particular I love nurse consults as I get to interact with the animals and their owners.
I have an interest in pain management and want to qualify as a hydro therapist once I’ve finished my degree. At home, I have a cat called Miesha. I also have aspirations to travel to different destinations on weekend breaks to see the different sites and try the cuisine.
I’m looking forward to meeting all of our clients and their pets over the next year whilst I’m on placement!
My Name is Sarah Wilkinson and I have been a Client Care Advisor here at Ilkeston Vets4Pets since it opened in March 2015.
My husband and I share a home with two dogs named Gucci and Fudge. I have a son named Leo whom I enjoy spending my time, doing things that 5 year old boys enjoy such as theme parks, family days out and activities that involve getting dirty! Leo adores Gucci and Fudge, and they enjoy their walks with him.
In my spare time, I enjoy meals/drinks out, theatre and spa days with my friends.
I started as a Client Care Advisor with Ilkeston Vets4Pets in February 2019, after joining the Vets4Pets group the previous year. I have a degree in Animal Behaviour and Welfare, and I’ve always wanted to work either hands-on with animals or helping them in some way through conservation or welfare groups. I lived in South Africa for three and a half years, where I worked for a whale, dolphin and penguin watching company, whilst doing research on the endangered African penguin.
I now live back in Nottingham, and have two doggies at home. Mouse (who I brought back from South Africa), and Sally. In my spare time I volunteer for The Wildlife Trusts, and enjoying going to ice hockey games. Let’s go Panthers!
Hi I'm Kay, one of the Receptionists at Ilkeson Vets4Pets. I have been working here since May 2017 and love spending time with the animals and having cuddles.
I have been married to my husband Jason for 21 years and we have a son, two daughters and a two year old grandson together, all of whom I adore. At home I have a Cocker Spaniel called Milli who is also my baby and two rabbits called Tiki and Treelo.
While I'm not at work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
Vets4Pets Ilkeston is committed to bringing you affordable, high quality care via a modern, well equipped practice, including a lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray and ultrasound. Plus, on site car parking too!
The friendly team can't wait to meet all of their new clients!
