I am delighted to be serving the pets of Edinburgh and offering you a 7 day a week service here at Fort Kinnaird. I am a graduate of the Dick Vet and have remained a local ever since graduating in 2007 (apart from a two and a half year stint in Aberdeenshire wrestling cattle and poaching our Practice Manager, Gemma). I love Edinburgh city and the countryside in this part of the world and feel very privileged to be able to call this my home. I live just outside of town with my husband, young son and a small menagerie; Alfie the Staffie cross, Cassie a rescued Maine Coon and Lucky a budgie who flew into our garden one day and stayed. Outside of work, I love being with my son, going to birthday parties, taking him swimming, soft play and bike rides. We often walk the dog together and recently, since we moved to a house with a garden, I have set myself some gardening challenges. With my husband – we love to cook and enjoy a glass of wine with a good film or a Game of Thrones episode. I opened Fort Kinnaird in 2011 and it has been a rich journey bringing you veterinary services for all these years. We have a terrific, international team here who are all amazing individuals and who truly care about the standard of veterinary care they are able to provide. I am very proud of the hard work that the team delivers every day of the week and we promise to continue to strive in improving our pet care and client services to you. This is what excites me and makes me happy to be a business owner. You will find me consulting every 3rd weekend where I often see a good number of Polish clients and their pets. If you are in need of a Polish speaking vet then please call in. Otherwise, I am also available during the week on certain days. Looking forward to seeing you and your pets in our clinic!

I graduated from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies at The University of Edinburgh in 2003, and spent my first 3 years working in mixed practice. The following years were spent in small (companion) animal practice in Glasgow and Edinburgh. I have had plenty of interesting and ‘exotic’ animals to look after, ranging from the usual cats, dogs and small mammals, to many feathered and scaly companions. The unusual and exciting challenge of exotic pets always keeps me on my toes! I have a keen interest in surgery, both soft tissue and orthopaedic, and have achieved a Post graduate Certificate in Small Animal Surgery. This allows me to offer our patients more complex surgical options, which were previously restricted to referral practices. Since Vets4Pets, Fort Kinnaird and Musselburgh opened, it has been pretty hectic but very rewarding. It’s been a lot of fun getting to know our clients and their (many-legged) best friends, and building a strong bond of trust with each of them. 2013 was a big year for us. I was honoured to be a finalist in Petplan’s Vet of the Year Awards 2013. I spend a lot of my spare time baking and cooking, but am resolving to spend more time outdoors (climbing and cycling). My mischievous duo of girls are Tabitha (a 14yr-old tabby girl), and Sushi (a 9yr-old tabby girl), with my husband being the only boy in the house! Some of you have known Stovie, my beloved Springer Spaniel cross who I lost just before Musselburgh was opened and is still very much missed. As can be seen by my pets’ names, I spend a lot of time thinking about food too!

Having spent 8 years working in a veterinary practice in Aberdeenshire, I made the move to Edinburgh in 2011 to start work here as Receptionist at Vets4pets Fort Kinnaird. This role lead to me becoming Practice Manager and then more recently becoming a partner in the Musselburgh surgery which opened in 2017. I now work across the Fort Kinnaird and Musselburgh practices and I have enjoyed getting to know all our clients and their pets. I have a feisty tabby cat called Marley who I adopted over ten years ago now. She is about 13 and has a number of health issues which make her quite a regular visitor to the surgery. I live in Edinburgh with my son who keeps me very busy! In my spare time I enjoy getting out in the fresh air and exploring Edinburgh and surrounding areas, running and visiting my family.

Vets4Pets Musselburgh is committed to bringing you affordable, high quality care via a modern, well equipped practice, including a lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray and ultrasound. Plus, on site car parking too!

The friendly team can't wait to meet all of their new clients!
